Looking to swap out my monitor currently playing on 1080p/TN/144Hz but have been toying with the IPS/21:9/60Hz idea.

Anyone playing on this setup?

My guess is, I will lost some competitive edge with the refresh rate but just wanted to see if anyone has any experience?

lies :D funny havent seen you playing in a while, i dropped to gn3 after a bad run , back to mg now but for how long......

have def noticed a lot more ruskis lately stereotypical to say this but had so many bad games with them, toxic or just very bad communication and teamwork

no experience with a ips panel but i went from 60hz to 120 and going back to a 60hz screen you will really feel it, feels like the game is broken and not running well at all, even windows dragging the windows about feels like they are being pulled through mud though granted i dont think the colour more so the blacks are as good but i couldnt go back to 60 for games... dont do it :p
 
Wondering how to rank up on CS:GO ?

I'm rank 1 at 895 XP, says I have 4104XP left before rank up.

I have:
Played numerous rounds of Office maps until rounds are up and the map changes = 0XP
Played a deathmatch server map to completion for 50 minutes getting top frag = 0XP
Played to the end of a regular map on dust 2 for around 30 minutes = 0XP

Yet on the main menu it says I rank up through completing a map on ANY game mode. What gives? how on earth do I gain experience lol, been stuck on 896XP for around 4 hours.

you are playing online and not against easy bots locally or something?
you need to get kills basically , i found armsrace got me decent xp

Yup I'm very familiar with counter strike, just not this exp system, played numerous maps and modes online with other players to completion but nothing is increasing for some reason. :confused:

do I have to play the map FULLY from very beginning e.g 60.00 to 0.00 in order to qualify for experience/rewards? I'm just confused as I seem to be doing everything I can but receiving nothing :P

*EDIT : IT APPEARS YOU CAN ONLY GAIN EXP THROUGH "FIND A GAME" AND NOT BY JOINING GAMES VIA SERVER BROWSER - OMG HOW STUPID.

Server browser isn't valve servers.
 
you can gain any xp from any game mode but it must be on valves servers.

asjoel says, server browser is basically all the random dedi servers hosted by other companies.

when you use find a game, you can choose any game mode (dm/arms race etc), they will all count towards you XP.

ranking up for the xp though does nothing really. they haven't added anything worth while to it, other than drops, which 99% of the time are utter sh*te and worth nothing.

youd be better spending time playing competitive 5vs5 and trying to rank up your actual MM rank.... imo
 
Does anyone have a team that I can do my placement matches in? Need a little more practice but id really prefer not to do my 8 remaining matches with a bunch of random pubs.

11 year source player. Not that it counts for much as GO is more like 1.6 but I've got a good understanding/experience of competitive play. Not mega highly skilled but thought I'd ask if anyone can help me out getting a couple of my placement matches done over the next couple of weeks!
 
Has anyone else made an epic loss with the value of their items dropping due to the current gambling scandal?

Had a knife worth 100 keys, managed to flog it for 70! Urgh.

On the plus side, the likes of Karambit dopplers/M9 Tiger Tooths can be had for 120 keys right now!
