just want to know if you congregate somewhere where i can just hop in and maybe join. I just had game with 4 randoms none of them together vs 5 premade clan and we tied it from 14:9 to 15:15...very impressed by randoms lately...

normally just add people around a similar rank to yourself from the spreadsheet and then join their lobby when online. once in lobby ask if they need an extra and boom.

The new sound effects these past couple months are shocking.. Who ever at Valve is giving these the OK should be sacked.

I don't understand why Valve can't just go down a shooting range and record audio? Am sure they can afford the price.
Half what's in there now doesn't even sound like a gun getting shot.

agreed, I do like the shotgun sounds but that's it, all the smg's are starting to sound the same and the p250 now sounds like a airsoft gun.

True that, abit like gran turismo's engine sounds. The weapon sounds in 1.6/Source were pretty much spot on. Not sure why they changed them.

I actually prefer the new sounds particularly the SMG ones, only played 1 round with the new pistols so not sure about those yet, but in general I think the sounds are a lot cleaner.

Also, I got MGE last night!

you do need at least a premade 4 players in CS to have a good chance, problem with solo queue and small teams is that you are bound to get 1 - 2 morons join your team.

So true, how do you avoid this? I’m only getting back into it now so a bit rusty but getting better and really enjoying it – mostly. I’d forgotten how exciting it could be. The good games are absolutely amazing fun.

But even when I’m playing well, I’m getting very mixed teams most of the time in matchmaking so even if I’m playing really well I still lose half the matches. And last night one of my players kept shooting and flashing me deliberately – for no reason other than that I was miles ahead of the rest of the team. We were 15-9 ahead and ended up drawing because this nutjob on my team kept shooting me.

As I mentioned I do play majority solo Q and you have two options be quiet (pasive agressive) or be like so nice its disgusting. Always say nice try and you'll get it next time and it's all good its just a game encourage your team and 90% of time people will be ok.

Just had a quick game.
New recoil seems to suit me.
I'm quite enjoying it now. When I first started playing again I would just get owned by anybody half decent but now I feel like a stand a chance against everybody.
Playing deathmatch and arms race has helped a lot.
Joined mid game and got 4 usp kills.
Still making stupid mistakes but less really stupid ones

Just need to find time to play some competitive games to get a rank.
It's hard to find a time when I won't get interrupted.

The spray changes I think should be likeable for most people. Beyond 7 shots it gets more wobbly but it seems nicer accuracy for the more immediate shots.
Less 3k with one spray and more results with the quick stop shots though I could be imagining it I think its noticeable



Nifty ban checker though its not perfect as its showing old bans, pretty quick to see who got caught from recent games

All is forgiven, CS:GO - had a brilliant game last night. Finished with 37 kills, surely one of my best games. As Terrorists on Cache, I was 1 v 4 twice and killed them all both times, it was like my Galil couldn’t miss. They clearly weren’t playing as a team but neither were we and it still felt fantastic.

Apart from a few silly mistakes, one of my best games ever. This game is so good when it goes well.

rip global dreams again, rank up match against 4 globals 1 supreme, one guy disconnects on my team for the pistol, lost that, a different guy disconnects on 2nd round and abandons for a 7 day cool down, 3 round another abandons, then the guy from the pistol rejoins but won't surrender until 10-1 instead of surrendering when it was 3-1. rip Elo rip global, #icrieverytime

I think the theory is if you solo queue and everyone else is above you in rank then you are close to joining them in that rank.

Yeah pretty much, if you pay attention to the ranks at the end of each game you get a clue as to how well you are doing in that rank, so for example if everybody in the lobby is the same rank as you you are pretty much slap bang in the middle of your rank, if there are some people in the rank lower than you then you are at risk of deranking (especially if you do bad that game), if they are higher than you then there is a good chance that you will rank up soon (especially if you still top the scoreboard).
The more you play the more you get that feeling and it starts to become quite accurate.

Obviously if you queue with a premade or the other team is a premade then you can't really tell as the game will try and average out the elo across the teams and match as close as possible.
