SoundWave challenged us to an age match. We feel that 33 is way to old to be playing CS, but SoundWave thinks you get better with age. So we are going to do an age match.

We were thinking of 4 teams. Youngsters (20 and under), the 'I think I'm cool' (21-25), Mid-life crisis groups (26-30), Oldies (31+)

Here is my list till now. If you want to participate post your age and month.
Robbo - 34 (October)
BuffetSlayer - 33 (February)
SoundWave - 33 (June)
------------------------------------------------------------
nutsnut - 30 (November)
Joel - 29 (October)
Subzero - 28 (November)
r0ss - 26 (March)
Stu - 26 (April)
------------------------------------------------------------
Spaghetti - 22 (June)
Proxeum - 21 (April)
------------------------------------------------------------
Flighty - 20 (May)
Nik - 20 (October)

I'll be up for that, I'll be in the oldies group. :D

We made the ages on CS:GO career. The argument started since everybody calles Fetish (Dignitas) an oldie, and he is 30. Also, Taz (~28) and Fifflaren (~27) are considered old! Xyn9x who is like 19 is considered VERY young.

Would be cool if we get more under 25s. We would be ready to go :D

Won on Fnatic finally :D:D

For some reason, skin prices are shooting up in price. Zirka MW is like over double the price. The Red Lam FT went up €1. Other skins are going up too. Might just cash out and re-invest when prices go down....

or bet on Fnatic :D:D

Put me down for mid life. 27 - April. (Matt)

Also just learnt that pressing mouse 1 and 2 together does a medium power nade throw! Mind blown.

Sweet, need to give this a go sometime then. Thought it was only right and left click, you learn something new in CS:Go everyday!

Wonder what other bits 'n bobs are hidden away like that that people don't know about.

Well, I played some casual mode over the weekend. Far harder than demolition but I still managed to come middle of the field in most matches which I was pleased with for a first go. One thing I did notice is the limited maps that are played. It just seems everyone wants to play dust 2 and mirage, then maybe nuke. Over, and over, and over....... :(

There also seems to be an obsession with sniper camping! Mind you, I have to give some respect to the positions some players got into in order to camp. Often somewhere where just the top of their head is poking out :D Then you run in and BOOM headshot :o

Couple of guys were getting called cheaters a lot as they pretty much owned the server. I specced a lot but I didn't see anything overtly suspicious to be honest. I guess it was just butt hurts being abusive. Thankfully you can mute the noisy ones :D

That said I didn't see any of these players ever get surprised by anyone, or even run around a corner into an unexpected enemy (something which seems to happen a lot to me! :p). I guess they may have had friends on Teamspeak or their dead team mates telling them where the enemies were so that could explain their movements around the map. The main guy was getting MVP most rounds and coming top in all the maps. His name was Zen and then a little squiggle. He was definitely killable though, as I proved once. Only one time, but it felt gooooood!! :D

Do you have to buy the keys to open weapons crates every time? I won one on demolition mode but it said I needed a key. I bought one. Got some crap gun. Thats life eh? Do you ever win keys too? Or just the boxes? I bought a couple of more of the same box but the key I had just bought was single use only :o

Some of the better players were saying "f2p faggot" a lot when they got killed. What does that mean?

Hoping to get in a few more hours today after work. I am finding that I am doing better in face offs with other players now, but I am being destroyed by snipers. Literally can't seem to go anywhere without being sniped :p

Casual is usually a train wreck, too many players for the maps, bit communication and too many snipers. I only want to play competitive these days, much more balanced.

In my opinion casual mode is a waste of time, it is that much of a mess that you can't really establish any sort of "strategy" you are much better off practicing in deathmatch or an aim server.

a lot of the time an AWPer will sit in a position were he knows someone is going to come through.

Nah you don't win keys, a word of advice, don't buy them, if you are wanting a particular skin, you are better off just buying them outright, you can waste so much money on crates hoping for a good drop.
