Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC expansion

Just because something is hidden doesn't mean it's worth finding. It really isn't as deep as you are making out lol. Sure there were a few shards and some interesting shards but certainly not hundreds or even tens of hours worth lol.
There's a mod Missing Persons - Fixer's Hidden Gems (not updated for PL) that indicates the position of 195 locations with stuff to find that are not indicated in the main game quests nor side quest or gigs or police scanners map points.

There is a lot of detail put into the game there to find if you want to.

That's your assumption. I never made it out that shards are suddenly a huge piece of a bigger puzzle that must be found. You specifically asked what everyone is doing to spend that much extra time in the game, that is one part of where that time is going, that and just generally exploring because it's a cool city to explore. If you don't like an answer to a question you asked, maybe refrain from asking questions...

Not about not liking, I am questioning how one spends hundreds of hours in a game with not enough content (worthwhile or not) to fill it, you specifically chose shards as your response hence me assuming this was a massive/prime factor in those extra hours, apologies if that was misunderstood. Branching quests I get but don't recall huge freedom in them, certainly a few pivotal ones I think where you had to choose between people for something etc, new builds/specs etc yes but am I imagining it or wasn't there an option to respec anyway? Or maybe I was just a jack of all trades so felt I'd used most of them. Pretty much the only thing I recall was save-scumming so I could experience all the endings.
Oh and a god awful achiev for getting credits.

Mods, mods and some more mods.
Stuffs like unlimited double jump gets you into places that you shouldn't be, and the missions then take on a new angle.
Personally I like to tailor the game to my own preferences and advantages.
That way I get double value for money.

Good shout, I don't really mod games but I appreciate they can extend the enjoyment.

Thanks, I will add it on to my Nexus for when/if I can muster another playtrhough. Though I have a feeling I'll probably be best of just starting right from the DLC after my pitiful attempt the other week.

Again you assumed it was a massive thing, it wasn't, I just chose shards because that's basically what I look for when exploring. try not to assume things in future is all. My play style is a completionist where possible, with games like this, Ratchet & Clank, Last of Us etc that I liked so much I'm more invested in finding everything available once the main story is done.

Cyberpunk as it stands today is one of, if not the best game ever made. Change my mind :D 50 hours in so far and I can't put it down in the evenings. The graphics are excellent, the storylines are immersing and the attention to detail is next level. I'm a few hours into PL, I was impressed even by the main music event/show at Kurt Hansen's party, you can really see how they've mananaged to spend approx half a billion dollars making this game in total. Performance of the game still isn't amazing but to be fair I have it almost maxed out graphics settings wise (inc. path tracing) on a 3090.

You obviously have not played Far Cry 6 yet

No need, as long as you believe it that's all that matters ;)

does anyone know if you have to collect all the ncpd missions on one save for the achievements. one has bugged out so im thinking if i ever play through it again i can just go to the given area and forget the rest ?

So I've got every achievement now and therefore seen all the different outcomes.

The one where you Betray Reed, but then ultimately give Songbird over to him and take the 'cure' is pretty bleak really. Best outcome is just to get her on the spaceship but that means killing Idris

Do I think there is a huge difference between Cyberpunk 2077 release and 2.0 (2.01)? Not really. It's definitely better, particularly the visuals but combat, sneaking around etc haven't fundamentally changed a great deal.

Finally made it to Dogtown, at lvl 42, after a fresh playthrough with 2.0 update (last played v1.06).

2.0 certainly more alive and less empty, and repeated stacking of hacks is pure evil (don't remember that in v1.06) - skills update working very well for netrunners

I like stacking hacks on top of memory wipe because memory wipe is untraceable, then any hacks you stack on top of it become untraceable too

Done 8 gigs now and quite a few car missions. I'd say I am a little past halfway with the story. Hoping to complete it by the weekend :)

Loving the graphics and atmosphere in the game. But somehow just not feeling invested into the story or characters much. I do feel a fresh playthrough in a couple of years when I have no other games to play will help with that. But the story was never super strong to begin with to be honest. It's like a B movie. Good but not great.

Yeah I thought the main story only got going when it was about to end (main story wise excluding side quests as I didn't bother with them tbh) but PL seems to be a better, not mind blowing but it's like a decent cheesy 80's action movie, i.e. easy to watch/fun?
I definitely agree that it IS now the game it should have been, the bonus ending was decent too, haven't reloaded and tried the different scenarios yet though, will do that after I finish the side quests on Starfield, now that i've finished the main story.

TLDR though cause this isn't a @TNA endorsed thread, I wouldn't expect you to approve of it as highly as Starfield ;)
