My favourite was the local market. Used to get my PS1 games from a guy there. Play it for a few weeks. Take it back with zero scratch or finger prints, give him a fiver and swap it for another game :D
 
So had a go on this this morning and have to say the opening in the Dog Town market s rather impressive, I can see where the extra system reqs come from as throughout the market walkarund the fps was 90, and that's with frame gen on too. Update 2.0 in the base game basically never drops below 100 and that's with the HD Reworked texture mod. The density of Dog Town market is very high though so to be expected I guess. outside of the market though the fps jumps back up to norms.

Also megalolled at Sammy Taylor the vendor in the market, I thought he was gonna talk like Cartman :cry:

Also, funny to see that a Windows BSOD still happens in the distant future :p

I’m trying to resist playing this until the weekend, so when I finish work today I absolutely must not download it and have a play.

Lots of people sell their Steam accounts on Ebay - some for a lot of money. Saves you the bus fare of going to CEX

We had a local market guy who did that as well, also some back alley stuff for copied games back in the day :cry:. He disappeared one day so i assume he got raided.

I never did finish the original, I might pick this up and restart, apparently there have been so many tweaks and changes that it’s almost a different game.

Yeah none of the local markets i go to now have any game vendors. It's really sad tbh... No one buys physical games anymore cos no one even owns a DVD drive anymore. I still have a box of games somewhere in the garage with all the old stuff i use to play, some really good originals.

There's a Power revolver that can be had from one of the airdrops, it's purple but iconic and has nice power, probably my fav pistol so far, its bullets have a 40% burn chance which is kinda sweet and the magazine is quite large too. This and the double barrel shotgun are my fav combo so far for my build which is all about speedy takedowns as much as possible, I just need the red fire katana to complete the load-out :cool:

Here it is in action on one drop I spotted, kinda really cool seeing the air drop happen as well.

((watch how the revolver explosion dismembers one of the first NPCs :D)

It's well worth not ignoring the drops, the stuff you get can be substantial.


Oh and not to be THAT GUY but it's actually refreshing to have a sidekick that does something useful and says useful things and is a genuine badass and thus likeable :cry:

I killed it with the double barrel shotgun and double jump gymnastics. It genuinely is deadly at close range :D
 
The above mentioned was super fun (not really), but eventually got past the bloody thing.
It's all running great so far, but boy does it work the 4090, it's the hottest I've ever seen it go on auto fans.
Managed to get into the far side of the star base without much happening, so it'll be interesting to see what happens there later (if anything).
Bring on the weekend when I've more time to play :D
 
Pretty sure that's the one that they placed in the furnace with the 2.0 patch, got so many katana's in the last few days they have all merged

ETA Errata, sets peeps on fire then then guaranteed crit when you hit burning victims target
