Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra performance

Was not even interested in this game, but was just watching some 6800 XT performance to see if it was as bad as what was made out, was pleasantly surprised. Think I might add this to my to play list, it looks great.

Edit, game also has some AMD Fidelity mFX features.

It pops when you turn RT on, my jaw dropped...

There are a couple of AMD FX available, CAS and something else. What do they do?

Running really nice and smooth on the 3060ti @ 1440p ultra, dlss quality, RT off. I'd guess averaging 85-90 or so FPS but I haven't hit the open world yet.

RT on pretty much halves the framerate although it does look really good in certain places, I'll turn it on when I want to walk/drive around and admire the graphics :D

Was expecting it to be a stuttery mess like a lot of AAA games now, surprised how well it runs
Bodes well for my 3060ti, not sure about my 1600AF though :D

I don't get this Ultra really. There seems to be an obsession ( for bragging rights? ) with running everything in Ultra. Sometimes I think people care more about that than the actual game.

When I hit play, I just want to play. I don't want to keep messing about with settings, tweaking ini files. I've already paid for someone to do that for me.

In this title the game looks like a cut scene all the way through and as a RPG it can be forgiven for the lower FPS at times. What do you expect people to tallk about in an enthusiast graphics card section?

The games got a somewhat underwhelming reception on GOG..

Seems like 2020 is living up to its reputation :)

Won't load for me, but assuming it's bad reviews then I honestly don't know how seriously you can take user reviews of a game that's only been out a few hours.

Unless they are mainly complaining about game breaking bugs?

Explained here.

What bugs are there?

Can't be any worse than COD Black Ops Cold War, game wouldn't even run for me without crashing every few minutes last time i tried it.

I'm not surprised, Steam has a number of negative my potato can't run it reviews. I think people are stuck in the mindset that a game must run at 100FPS+ now. Even RPGs.

Personaly, I don't play with a FPS counter. This title selected ultra including RT for me and I hit play. The game felt smooth and looks far better than any other title I've played. The gameplay seems involving, though I've only played for a couple of hours. The tutorials, which you shouldn't skip, took me through the various forms of satisfying combat. There are plenty of trash items to fill your inventory and at a guess some will be used in crafting. Skill trees look to be plentyful and the audio I found to be excellent.

The game is more than I expected and I did expect a lot from this.

I know its probably like blasphemy in here, but has anyone done any comparison in image quality and performance between ultra and the next setting down (high i presume) ?
