Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra performance

Look at the Iron Sight and on the left side of the gun. That's DLSS having a fit for some reason causing some sort of ghosting. Some objects show this even more during motion. Now to be fair, I don't know if this happens in other games as Cyberpunk is the first and only game I've tried with DLSS 2.0. Might just be a fluke with this game. But it's annoying :)

YS2lwb7.png

Weirdly I've seen this in some of my screenshots but couldn't actually see it when playing at that point - I've only seen very isolated cases of that in actual gameplay so far and mostly when I was playing at 4K with DLSS on auto rather than 1440p quality.

Must have his camera on DLSS ultra performance
haaa!!!

-------------
As for the ghosting it's very similiar to the ghosting found in Assetto Corsa Competitione. A temporary fix was to fully enable Motion Blur. However, it was later figured out that TAA was the actual cause of it. So you had to use some other AA method.

I wonder if RedEngine shares anything with UE??? Hmmm...

What a disaster! This game was never ready for release.

One of the biggest mistakes in the patch is removing AVX instead of fixing the game so that AVX works properly. You actually want avx in the game.

But I love the echo chambers of the minoriteam saying there is nothing wrong with the game. Which only shows how desperate you were for cb2077. But at the end of the day its just one broken game developed for ampere.

CB2077 only had one job, just one job. Make me want ampere and it failed. It failed miserably when factoring the media, gamer market, and console market is concerned. We don't need to worry about cheerleaders though.

:D

AVX and AVX-512 is trash

Well, if you don't now how to use it. But we will agree to disagree. However, that's not the point.
When a game is developed using it. You simply don't "turn it off". Doing so, as the patch notes don't reflect any replacement, can place the game in some sort of a debug mode.

So my question would be will they patch in SSE? Will it default to x87 <--well there is your trash right there. Be funny if it did. As this game was in development for 8-9 years. And, AVX was intro'd around 7 or so years ago. I do wonder what fallback is put in place once AVX is disabled.

You did ask, ROFL.

They can't catch a break can they?

He's not exactly NASA material, is he? You could show this to kids under the title Don't do drugs.

If you want to attack CP2077 due to it being a Nvidia sponsored title, fair enough, but to do so you are going to have to raise your game. Evidence that it's not performing well on low end AMD systems(consoles) is not doing your case any good. PC based Steam reviews have it at mostly positive since 78% of 231,359 reviews are positive. Not bad for a title with so many bugs.

52.7 hours in to it and I'm still enjoying it. In comparisson my GTA V played time has 29.4 hours.

Meanwhile back at AMD's secret bunker progress is being made on RT and DLSS like competition ....

Haaa!
Come on now, Cyberblur, Cyberbug, was and still is a marketing ploy for Amper through the use of RT. Which failed miserably do to the amount of bugs thus bad press it received. To only know that this game only works 'best' (we know the game is still buggy with ampere/pc as a whole) with ampere doesn't change public opinion of the game is the crown jewel of how marketing can and will backfire in such fashion.

And no, the consumers out there do not need to be NASA material to formulate an opinion that optically puts the game in such a disastrous state. Right now, popular opinion suggests that this game is trash. Thus RT is trash. Therefore, no interest in buying Ampere for it.

This is the beauty I see in it. How something so convoluted backfired catastrophically. Because I'm sure when this game was in development some 8-9 years ago ray tracing wasn't the objective.

But no worry, the community is still dishing out the pain.

As always, it's a disaster.

Starts around 5:20 really says it all. And is the echo chamber about the game.

It actually runs really well on my 3070FE with DLSS at 1440p with everything on ultra - though 1440p DLSS is a poor substitute for native IMO. For some reason not everyone is getting good performance with it though.

I honestly can't decide if @EastCoastHandle is like a Duracell rabbit or a broken record.

You're not actually here to talk about CP, you're here just to bash Nvidia just like all your other 'content' that you post. Can you not just troll those threads instead? Rather than trying to keep convincing everyone how bad the game is and how pointless RT is, when plenty of people are enjoying the game despite the bugs and think it looks fantastic with/without RT and posting in the CP performance thread. I appreciate your carefully selected less than 200 view videos that you pluck out of obscurity like your most recent one but why not just let people discuss the game, how they are optimising it and how they do or don't find RT worth the performance hit?

Oh I agree, there are quite number out there who would struggle with an intelligent review, subscribed? :p

Again ...

PC based Steam reviews have it at mostly positive since 78% of 231,359 reviews are positive.

It will get a big thumbs up from me when I get around to it.

I've had a bugged keycard during a side mission that was frustrating. The work around was to move an object to the door, in my case a tool box, forcing the door open. Graphically I've had Jack walk through a door and a few cups, etc. hanging in mid air. This is no different than any other new game.

Performance wise, I'm running at 1440p with an ancient 3770k and DDR3 RAM with RT Phsyco, DLSS Quality and all other settings maxed. I'm getting between 45 to capped 60 FPS, which I think is great for this type of game. Sure I could get more if I played in AMD mode, but that just looks so sad.

How are you finding these muppets? 'RT is just an addon from Nvidia' so he claims. Has he never heard of Apple, AMD, Intel, Microsoft or Sony? All of thse companies including Nvidia are investing in RT. Does he not realise the form of RT found within CP2077 is DXR, which was developed by Microsoft with input from AMD, Intel and Nvidia? He goes on to trash DLSS without describing what level he's using and then informs us that he's still at 1080p. Another NASA reject.

You are a magnet for these muppets :D

These are just people jumping on the bandwagon for easy views. They have no clue what they're doing, should stick to console.

Oddly enough these old CPUs paired with Ampere cards seem to be running the game quite well - maybe not getting the headline performance of the 10900K, etc. but seem to be much less problematic with the game and more consistent performance.

My 1650 V2 handles the game surprisingly well with much better performance at the same settings than many are reporting with 7000, 8000 and 9000 series Intel, etc.

There is something not quite right with the game at all when it comes to CPUs beyond the SMT stuff.

It is very odd, seems such a fundamental thing to get right and quite easy to validate it's working.

Something I've noticed weirdly - after about 2 hours of playing (no signs of a memory leak but about the same time some people start seeing a memory leak) my framerate suddenly drops exactly, precisely, 20 FPS until I restart the game.

I don't totally hate the game - largely it is just the key binding/interface situation that is holding my enjoyment back - but there is so much they've messed up with this game.
