Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra performance

Hey, you should also consider the full array QLEDS, they are great for gaming, A lot of People seem to ignore them on here because they didn't get as much advertising as a gaming screen.

They had VRR a full year before LG but was ignored.
The input lag is just 7ms.
The biggest game changer is the, game motion plus settings, giving you the perfect motion and frames being made into 240hz. (I use 5/5)

Pushing out higher nitts for the HDR games and don't age over time if you plan on using it a lot.

One thing to note is that the ones smaller than 55" are normally fake (not same as the 55'65"75")

Ya can get some crazy deals on them as well like 70% off release price as well. If ya willing to be year behind.
But as you say I would need a 55" version which is even worse than a 48" OLED that is available.

Now if they had a 40" or smaller one at a decent price, then it maybe something I would consider. But ultimately I feel OLED is where it is at.

Just an FYI I'm not advertising it's a full array in every post, there is 2 completely different TVs with the exact same name that were released 6 months apart and are the model numbers swap over depending what region.

Just easier to say I have the 2018 Q8 full array.

Also a massive lol at the gaming feature like freesync and gsync beiing usless and HDR 2000 nitts and game motion plus at only 15ms total and all the other stuff all totally useless.

No wonder I have u on ignore, I worry one day I might read something u write and take it in.

Lol :D

It mostly doesn't bother me but yeah I notice the issues with DLSS as well - anything that is thin and vertical has VA motion blur like trails and sometimes if you move parallel with a scene which is periodically interrupted i.e. going along a road with fence posts or something you can see the details change slightly after each interruption not 100% rendering the same scene but something close to it.

I can just about accept having DLSS quality on in this game so as to turn everything up to ultra but I'm not 100% happy about it.

I'm the same, originally I was happy using balanced but the more I played the more I noticed the artifact's/blur/motion.

I only use quality now.

I found the performance ones very bad drop in resolution.

Game looks crazy good on my 43" Philips Momentum 436M6 - just a shame HDR in the game is broken and seems to be using SDR with a gamma hack to try and make it look like it is running a HDR colour space and failing miserably - SDR with the contrast, etc. that display is capable of looks way better than the HDR setting in the game.

Do you already have a 4k?

One thing I didn't know at the time is how much bigger 4k needs to be to see the details.

I got a 55" which I thought would be plenty and it was great for when I was playing 1440p on same TV, but now I have started playing 4k I really wish I gone bigger.

They do have suggested size to distance ratio charts about, might be worth checking. Even on my 55" I need to be about 2 foot away to see all the textures that 4k pixels gives u.

I'm getting 75" next time. Seems about right for 4k sat on sofa. But going to try a new sofa and living room layout first. Hopefully it I can get close enough when new sofa gets here.

I have yet to hook it up to my OLED downstairs. Will wait for them to fix HDR, plus we will start seeing certified HDMI 2.1 cables trickling in soon which I plan to buy.

Have had a 4K monitor since 2014 and not been able to go back. This is my third 4K monitor now :p

In the living room I have a 55” LG B9. Have had it for over a year now and still not hooked up my PC to it. Will likely do so in the next few months to test it out :)

Right now the OLED is on a wall mount on a chimney breast, but I may get rid of the chimney breast in a few years time and go for a much bigger TV. If I do not upgrade my monitor by then, what I may do is move the OLED into my office and wall mount it there. What I can do then is hook it up to my PC and only use it for playing games/watching stuff and just stick to using my current monitor for productivity and browsing.

^^

Probably be best not to hook it up to the oled as you will regret it and never be able to set eyes on your LCD display again ;) :D :p

By far the best setup to do this.

People always say they don't have enough room etc. but wall mount makes it a non issue really unless you are literally living in a shoe box.

There's more to it than hanging it on the wall. If the furthest you can sit is about 3 meters away, you really can't go too large on a TV.

Not quite. For desktop use monitors still give much sharper picture than OLED TVs.
some fonts especially red colour don’t display right using recommend settings (HDMI name as PC, 4K RGB 10bit) and it get even worse at 120hz.
In games though it’s great and you can’t see any of it.

True!

I sit 7 feet from mine currently, personally think 6 feet is the ideal distance for 55"

Reckon 48" would be sweet for 3/4 feet.

Yup, I still use my 34" 1440 monitor anything desktop related.

Sharpness wise, have to disagree though (unless pixel peeping) but only because monitors have anti glare/matte finish.

I am close to the end I think, pretty much done everything on the map, so will give my final opinion once I am done.

I am now close to 70 hours in. Not many blue icons left at this point. All gigs seem to be done. Only yellow icons now are cars I have to buy, which there is about 10 left. I can probably get that done by soon by just crafting to make money. I think tomorrow I will just finish the game off.

I really am enjoying it, even though it is not as good as I expected.

I look forward to the thorough 'TNA' review post! :)

I’m talking about desktop use here with 100% scaling. Red fonts aren’t as sharp as they should be and at 120hz all fonts are a bit off.
That is on my BX and on my older B6 it’s actually much worse. Monitors are still much better at displaying windows fonts.
It’s very subtle I agreed and wouldn’t mind living with it but I haven’t got the space on my desk (even if wall mounted) as I got a lot of electronics repair equipment on it which would be in the way of tv.

Have you tried messing with windows clear font/type or whatever it is?

But agree with the red fonts/colour in general, iirc, it's because of oleds RGB pixel arrangement, which is why reds also tend to be the worst case offenders for potential burn in apparently.

I would definitely try adjusting windows fonts if I was using it as a monitor but I’m not.
I only use my BX for gaming when in bed and at 3 meters away (which by the way is too far for 55” 4K TV) I can’t tell the difference.
Still very enjoyable experience even though it’s a bit small.

Nice RT reflections in that mirror. Can you destroy your furniture and the wall behind to see if that gets reflected in the mirror? :D

Haha. Well I did have a PS4 Pro before and know how great HDR looks on it. Played games like Spiderman, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War on it which were fantastic.

I will grab a PS5 in a year or two once it has a few exclusives and once the price comes down.

LOL :D

I think that's great, believe me, I wish I could ignore things like that, but I can't, it's like VA black trails, it sticks out like a one-armed stripper at a bachelor party would. On the other side of things, we got RT, where I'm completely oblivious. I can see it if I compare shots or look for it but I don't notice it at all during normal play sessions.

Native is 1440p, DLSS preset doesn't matter, it happens on all but Quality is what I use.

There was a video posted in one of the other threads from HU where they mention the majority of reviews for DLSS do their comparison shots at 4K native and 4K DLSS.
When using it at 4K there is enough detail for DLSS to work well but at 1440 and 1080 when you use DLSS you will see a reduction in image quality as the resolution it's using to upscale from is much lower.

People look at the 4k comparison shots and expect the lower resolutions work just as well as 4K.
