Cyperpunk should be a very good game but dont slate SC here when that is a lot more ambitous then this as you and i both know that if CIG pull it off with SC, practically most people on this forum are going to eat there hat and jump on the universe of SC when it has more gameloops/features

Firstly, I never said it wouldnt release, I said *IF* it never releases. Secondly, I will slate what I want to slate and where I want to, I certainly will not be told by you what I can and cannot write on here, having said that, I dont think I slated the game anyway, I simply joked about its release date. If anything that sounds like you're being a little over touchy about the release date joke. I know that a lot of people are very much invested in SC (even I have an SC account, though just a basic one) some to the tune of many thousands of £'s but even so, see the joke about its release date for what it is, sometimes a joke is just a joke..as indicated by the grinning smiley at the end of my OP

Your slating SC as if its relivant to cyperpunk at all and i never knew u was "joking"

I wouldnt have said IF, if I was saying it wont release, I would have said it wont release. If, kind of means, well...if.

The grinning smiley should have been indication that it was a joke but perhaps it was too subtle. I accept that you may not have understood that the grinning smiley means its a joke, in future I will put {Joke} after gags or joke posts so that its more clear to avoid future confusion.

Also, I am aware its a Cyberpunk thread, I posted about SC in response to the post where someone had mentioned SC and then another post which was in reply to the SC post, so I made my post in relation to the thread content at the time.

If you guys are done bickering, let's get back on topic.

I've tweeted CDPR to see if I can get more clarity around public transport, what is accessible, be it ground taxi, air taxi, transit systems, how quick travel works etc. As I've had a look around and can't see anything concrete unless I'm missing something?

Agreed :)

I would actually be really happy if public transport wasnt quick travel, or at least if you had the option of actually "riding" on the public transport rather than it being a case of clicking a waypoint and next thing you are there, if you know what I mean.

Same, I'm sure after the first several hours, the option would be nice. But as they have made the world fully living, I'd love to sit and ride on the tram system and watch the world go by to see all the different areas.

Yeah exactly that, I'd love that level of immersion, to be able to sit and watch as it goes around. Sort of like the train start of Half Life. Obviously not everyone would want that, so it would have to be a "Travel" or "Fast Travel" option, so that you could choose the manner of your public transport. I suppose a comparison would be the flight routes in World of Warcraft, how you were able to "ride" the flight route and see the world in a different way etc
 
Driving is the thing I'm most worried about and being immersion breaking ... I think I mentioned it before when the car videos came out... but you can't have completely empty roads, but if there's cars I'm not going to want to sit at red lights and have to worry about bumping someone with the car I'm using and then having that turn into some debacle ... it's the one thing that I'm not sure has ever felt right to be in modern city games ... as it's the future then some kinda hyper-metro would be cool... not quite fast travel but you sit in it and see it zip through the city absurdly fast or something... I guess self-driving cars would be another option and I could just stare out the window, hell Tesla is already most of the way there and would be for sure in another 50 years.
 
I liked this overview from the latest wire stream and also further AMA details the devs hosted after Wire #4. The gameplay footage slowed down showing details many inc myself had missed is quite cool too.

One gameplay scene we have been shown in multiple videos now shows V in a corpo air-taxi getting a lift to Lizzie's bar to meet Jackie and V commands the AI to just land anywhere so it does so on the roof. It might be like the video above mentions, some things are possible with limited scope, like you cannot loot militech hardware randomly, but if it's part of a mission/quest then that's part of the norm.

Likewise you cannot keep cars you steal, you can only keep cars you acquire by buying/trading or earning etc.

I got confirmation my 3090 strix waterblock won't be here until after CP2077 lands, so even if the actual GPU arrives, I still have to wait unless I really want to run it on air and change up all my tubing (the answer to that question is no... lol).

So I'm stuck with my 2080 ti for now :( Hopefully it's enough for 3440x1440 at ultra settings with at least 60fps.

Hmmmm now I'm worried I won't it 1440/60 ultra with my normal 2080
