*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Only 70Gb is not bad, especially for a game of this depth. My COD install is up to around 200GB of precious SSD space!

That's the game that is taking all of my space. I don't want to delete it though as I still play MP and Warzone.

Are these worth watching. Or you think they are spoilery?

I watched the first one last night and I definitely recommend it. No spoilers or anything.

He is covering the lore from the 2020's, it's setting up the world I think, not spoilery I don't think, it's given me a handle on who the players are, factions etc in night city

The leaks look good on reddit if you venture there :)

Is anybody worried about the 70Gb install size? I have not seen any maps yet so can't comment on how big the world is but is that is on the smaller side for an open-world game with supposedly so much in it.

Maybe you've been exposed to too many bloated and poorly optimised games lately. 70 is plenty big

This won't come as a surprise based on what I've already said in this thread... but it seems like it could kind of be spoilery to me? Okay so perhaps it doesn't literally tell you anything that happens in the game but an often used storytelling device would be one where you encounter another character whose motives or actions are hard to explain at first because you don't necessarily know everything about the backstory of the world, and via events in the game you go on to learn more about the backstory and hence contextualise the character. Or you could just meet said character for the first time and go "Oh I see this is a merc from blah blah faction because I recognised the type IV armor from part 8 of the backstory series videos I watched and that means he must answer to such and such and the reason he is hostile towards X is because of Y" and so on you get the idea... Kind of robs you of the enjoyment of filling in the story for yourself via the game

I guess as usual I have to say - don't worry, this is just an opinion and you shouldn't stop watching these videos just because I'm not going to

The update alone for xbox is 43.5 gb according to one of the latest posts on Reddit.

edit: first stream of CP2077 also on Reddit and still available to watch as of posting.

I imagine the first of many many MANY over the course of the next 5 days.

It would be nice if CDPR said since they’d delayed the game several times, and to counter the early players, they were releasing the game today instead of next week. Won’t happen but it’d be nice.

Yeah not sure that is really an argument given the size of most open-world games and the multitude of assets now. As for being exposed to "too many bloated and poorly optimised games lately" Pretty sure I am good with my judgement, but thanks for the pointer, I will check more carefully.

Seems to bring your knowledge up to the level of someone who has played the board games, it's an old IP :P

Same as me, I can't bring myself to watch it again though just in case its not as good as I remember. Back then I was fascinated he was plugging USB into his head lol
Believe me, it won't be as good as you remember. Many movies I rewatch are not as good as I remember. There are exceptions obviously. I always enjoy going back to watch the Matrix for example.
