@mrk I'm still working my way through that 1 hr lore video, absolutely insane how much content there is out there on this franchise. Its kind of blew my mind a little
Hm, *goes to search for cyberpunk lore videos...*
Cheers.

That seems like an odd video..he starts by mentioning that a dev says that Night City is slightly smaller than Witcher 3 mapsize but by the end of the video, he has Night City being over 10 times the size of Witcher 3. So either the dev was wildly wrong or his calculations and size conclusion are way out.

Has anyone seen the "leak" where they say that the Day 1 patch is 56.3 Gb ? Thats a pretty hefty patch if true, almost a whole game redownload
Well he has Witcher 3 as 18km2, GTA as 105km2 and concludes that Night City is an X/Y of 225km2. Which seems Hugely contradictory to the dev, literally 10 times as big, over twice the size of GTA5. Doesnt seem right to me...225km2 is bigger than World of Warcraft, its almost the same size as the much regarded "too big" world of AC Odyssey
Could it be combining all the floor space in the buildings? I swear I read a dev or someone saying that a huge amount of interior space will be accessible, so the map might not be 10X bigger, but maybe the actual interactive areas will be?
Yeah GTA is now 89, RDR 2 is 111
GTA and The Witcher are 7/5 years old.
You really can't compare a seven/five-year-old game's to a 2020 game release given the higher textures more dense environment etc and newer tech. I would have expected RDR2 install size on PC and new-gen.
Looking around, the map size does not seem massive and there is no multiplayer content bolted on.
GTA V started its life on the ps3/x360GTA on PC isn't 7 years old. It's 5, and is only so big today due to the huge amount of content they have added to it over the last 5 years, on release it was approx. 55 gb
Seem's to add up to me, there's a lot of space outside the city, probably to cement the nomad stuff
So what's the actual size of the map compared to Witcher 3 then? Or is just speculation and guessing? I mean I can wait 6 days but I'm also eager.
