*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

It is almost certainly the day 0 patch is for consoles only and I'd bet that logic dictates this is what failed certification on console weeks ago causing the latest delay and this is the end result. CDPR weren't expecting a few to get their games pre-launch day so this patch would have automatically been applied during install/setup for those players anyway.

Day 1 patch was confirmed by CDPR the other week and was confirmed for all platforms which will further improve gameplay and graphics.

most games especially console are at the mercy of sony and microsoft and verification. day 1 patch are just the normal now. deadline comes get it out.

I am currently stuck in a house that’s not my normal home without my PC. I have a PS5 here and the PS4 version preordered.

I also preordered the PC version, so the question is do I make the trip home and try and get in to my apartment and get my PC to my current home on my bike, or just live with the PS4 version...

If your PC can comfortably handle ray tracing then I'd go for that.

Wait til 50 million people around the world all try to download that day 1 patch at the same time :D

Nah, it'll be fine I'm sure, might be a good time to set my steam download location to somewhere remote though lol. I have it set to Spain currently , on Spain I get a 440-460mbs download rate whereas for some reason if I set it to London all I get is about 50-90...crappy British infrastructure. Iceland is also very fast and might be hammered less than Spain at the time so might flip onto Iceland for a day :)

Lucky you, I'd kill for 50-90. I live in a large city and yet I'm stuck with 1.2MB/s and no access to fibre of any flavour, which is why I'm going to wait until after Christmas.

I have 14MB/s and could have 140MB/s but waste of money as this is plenty fast (for now) so why pay more :)

Again, I'd kill to have 14MB/s. We're 20 years into the 21st century, I live in a city in a 1st world country and yet I'm stuck with 1MB/s internet over copper and no date for when I can get fibre.

Okokomokokok....stupid question time!
I understand steam will start preload Monday/Tuesday - does this include the day 1 patch? If not, why not?

I feel your pain, I swear that the single best upgrade I have given my PC this year is 500mb broadband , its made a world of difference to my gaming. The ability to "just fancy a go on something" and be able to complete that fancy because I can just download a huge game in 15 mins rather than fancy a one night play of something but cant because it will take me one night to download it, has revolutionized my playing habits. Though it has also meant that I flip from game to game much more now than I did previously.

Where do you live?

One of the biggest things when moving places is the internet connection speeds. Honestly this is so important nowadays especially if you work from home like i do and also stream content of course for your pleasure.

Its funny because when i was out in vietnam in some mountain range in the middle of nowhere, they had wifi that was faster then what you had LOL.

I was able to stream a HD netflix show while i was staying there overnight lol
