*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

The map size has not changed since the 2013 release,
However, as you say, the online content has defo increased it. (even further on the 15th) But GTA is a bad comparison as there are not that many interiors and TBF I never bought it up.

Also, there does not seem to be any difference in file size across the 5 6 platforms.

I just thought 70GB was a tad small for such an expansive open world such as it is. Given the amount of stuff we are able to do, the different locations, the 4K textures and huge amount of dialogue I was expecting an RDR2 sized install.

Edit: Spelling and forgot Stadia.... as you do.

70gb would be a little surprising tbh, but let’s see next week with the day one patch

time we moved on from this, no?

It's just under 70GB. You could've just checked :D
Besides, we're talking about a different degree of density and content.
Hehe. True but if you combine all the cities. Bunkers and stations, it probably is similar size to this games density and game world.

What blows my mind is call of duty warzone, that's around 200gb I kid you not

Last few days I have avoided looking up anything posted on the usual sites in terms of leaks from people but tonight just had a quick browse of a few gaming YT channels that explored what they observed on feedback from early gamers who got their console versions early without giving away any spoilers.

The gist of it is this (with Xbox series X gamers):
- The game before the day 0 patch was very buggy, controller froze multiple times, pop-in textures, NPC duplication etc. Performance was 60fps mostly with a few frame drops
- Day 0 patch (43GB) improved things considerably and added a bunch more options to tweak such as HDR, performance etc. Performance was much smoother and bugs greatly reduced
- There is a day 1 patch too which will bring the game in-line with what the dev guy said few days ago, that any remaining bugs will not be noticed by gamers

One gamer has been posting answers to questions on reddit without spoiling anything and stated that:
- The main quest is so good that it's hard to put down and explore side quests
- He got the opening title roll after 6 hours into quest
- Population density is excellent and represents pretty much what we saw in the 2018 videos.
- Immediately when you leave V's apartment you are able to do so many activities to the point you feel overwhelmed!
- So far it lives up to the hype

5 more days.....

Two more days until those delicious bytes download to my PC :)

Good news about the population density, I had been concerned about that in recent videos as it looked as if it had been greatly reduced since the 2018 videos.

So theres a 43gb patch and then another patch as well on day 1? Is that going to be applicable to PC too I wonder. So we could have 60+ gb of patches to add in..depending how much of that is replacement files rather than new files, then its possible it could be 90-100gb after the patches

It is almost certainly the day 0 patch is for consoles only and I'd bet that logic dictates this is what failed certification on console weeks ago causing the latest delay and this is the end result. CDPR weren't expecting a few to get their games pre-launch day so this patch would have automatically been applied during install/setup for those players anyway.

Day 1 patch was confirmed by CDPR the other week and was confirmed for all platforms which will further improve gameplay and graphics.

That's console people problems not ours :p

No spoilers^ Worth a watch! Note that this is based on PS5 stuff, but the Series X guy who did the AMA states population density was high although I do recall reading early on that density can depend on time of day and other factors too so let's see...
