*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Man you're just expecting way too much, this is 100% on you... Do you really think a modern game has the technology to be able to simulate something like escalating states of Police alert levels in some kind of city setting? What kind of super futuristic game would be able to pull that off?

Developers don't care that much about the AI or actually making the world "thick" by its own internal logic. That's the problem. Even simple stuff like a helmet offering more protection than a bandana or long pants being better than short pants is wrongly implemented - IE: bandana offers more armor than an helmet; short pants offer more protection than a pair of long pants.

CDPR just didn't bother to develop the AI too much, is their "brand", a lot of problems from The Witcher got "ported" to Cyberpunk. :)

OK. I only ask as the game really tries to push you down the story route. I thought about taking on some side missions earlier but had read the game opens up at some point so decided to push on a bit
So if you skip side missions, do you get a chance to still complete them later in the game, i mean do they stay on the map ?

Starting to get bored of the Heist mission now. It feels like its gone on for hours and nothing much is different.
Distract enemies, disable cams, try and sneak around them but end up in a shootout. Gets boring after the first 2 enemies

Would rather be outside wandering the streets looking for fun things to do

Game defo. is looking better for me, it is like the texture rendering/streaming is better, before the patch, it reminded me a lot of the rage game, where some scenes were stunning and really detailed then look elsewhere and it was like textures hadn't rendered properly/fully.

As for the game itself, I think people who are expecting a full on RPG where you can interact with every single possible thing and have 20 minutes of waffling random choice dialogue with every NPC you encounter will be disappointed as it is more of an action/adventure game with RPG elements. Personally I am thankful for this choice as the likes of witcher 3 bored me to tears, most over rated game ever that imo.

This definitely hasn't lived up to the hype though and the gameplay some will consider meh/same old but for me the game world/city design is truly outstanding (massive fan of blade runner, fifth element etc.) and I'm enjoying the gameplay + story on the whole.

I agree with this, yeah the AI isn't as good as the AI in GTA5 but I'm loving the story so far. I'm only 10 hours in but so far I'm in love with this game so for people like us that like this type of game we're happy.

I totally understand though, this game isn't for everyone.

The heist mission is really early on (in fact the opening title is just after you finish it!) I think I finished it about 4 hours in. Once you've done that it's pretty much free roam from then on.

It really shows just how amazing Rockstar is at making AI for GTA games, can you even imagine how good the AI might be in GTA6?

Do you guys think CD Project Red will update the AI in future patches? Or do you think this is the way it will always be?

Either way, I'm still enjoying the game! :)

4 hours :D
I've played it for 10 according to Steam... but most will be me loading in to compare graphics before and post latest patch

Thanks - glad this will be over soon :)

Is there a way of telling what level you should be for any given job.

I turned it to hard as normal seemed to easy but then done a side mission, got wrecked several times as it was one shot kill on me, then at the end couldn't use any of the loot as it was all level 9, i was only level 4. So im guessing that should have been for when i was around lvl 9.

Just finished the heist I think. Took a couple of hours but I didn't really attempt to sneak took the first 2 guards out and then just ploughed through fighting my way to the exit. I love the running sliding and just general gun play. It's better than I was expecting to be honest.

After initially been blown away by this game, i'm going to stop playing now. There's just too much immersion breaking stuff happening. Will come back in 6 months or whenever i hear they've released a major update.

This game has an absolute ton of potential. Let's hope they do right and get it to where it should be.
