*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

My cops seem to be bred with bloodhounds! I mean the longest chase was easily over 3 minutes of sprinting (500m+) and and taking back alleys and yet I still ended up reloading the last quicksave to avoid the hassle. On the other hand I ran over a civilian by accident and had a less than 10 sec car chase, sooooo swings and roundabouts I suppose! :D

Funny you say that last night I thought I'll shoot this cop and run around the corner, and the cop followed me around the corner, it ended up a full blown fire fight with me dieing, even hidden behind a car and they snooped me out. They've got sniffer dog noses now.

Could the steam overlay be wrong and this be why the game feels smooth even if steam overlay tells me my framerate is in the 30's? looking at steam you would say average is 40 ish. But the driver has it at 66.6fps average.
I've found the same thing. Ingame the steam overlay tells me I'm getting 30-40 fps, usually at the low end of that. AMD says it's higher and it certainly doesn't feel as bad as the framerate suggests it should be. Perhaps I'm just far more tolerant of a lower framerate than others!

Steam overlay agrees with MSI AB overlay for me - and FPS feels about right although it does feel a little more playable on dips below 60 than in other games - down to around 52 FPS I don't really notice whereas in many other games I definitely would so might be running a little higher than it says.

On another note weirdly today I have text saying "[Z] [Hold] Disassemble Item" at the bottom right of the inventory - that definitely was not there before I was looking all over for some kind of hint for dissasembly yesterday.

I have a little under 22 hours play time and have completed Act 1 and done no main missions on Act 2 yet. Too busy doing all the side content :)

I am level 20 and street cred level 41.

There are still tons of side content to do, I am guessing another 10-20 hours worth. After that I will start the main story missions :D

Sorry to drag out the negativity but this video is an excellent (albeit depressing) watch

Will watch it after I complete the game!! :p

Right now I am really enjoying the game, but it is not as good as I was expecting and does not take the number 1 spot in my all time favourite based on what I have seen so far which is what I was expecting. Maybe a sequel that is improved, polished and streamlined could. Right now even if there was not a single bug in the game as it is it would not make my number 1 game of all time unfortunately. Still loving playing it though :D

6 hours in I've only had 3 bugs - all major in terms of they prevented progression and I had to Google to resolve but none fatal after a bit of Googling - I've not yet had any crashing, performance issues or seen many of the other common glitches like floating cars yet - the only one I've seen really is that some NPCs will not have collisions and/or collisions are in a separate place to where they are visually and a few times scripted NPCs ghosting through cars, etc. or 2 NPCs supposedly having a conversation only one of them had wandered off but they are still having a back and forth as if standing beside each other.

The main dissapointment for me really, not coming in with any expectations, is the lack of some serious quality of life refinements and that is actually ruinous on the experience as when you are scrabbling for keys and/or can't bind things properly and/or need 3-4 keys to do simple actions it is like having someone frequently joggling your arm while trying to play.

Anyone find the dialogue audio very low?

I've shoved all the other audio down to 50% and kept dialogue and master at 100%.

Characters sound audible but V is still faint.

Any ideas?

Had the same. Had to turn off the room scale settings in the Realtek audio panel. I've got speakers on the back wall and most games need the gain turned up on them to balance the sound. This was with 'reference' selected in the in-game speaker options.

Been meaning to post this for a while but forget, if anyone is playing with any overlays then try disabling them. For me disabling steam fps counter and the overlay has helped.

Without spoilers are there any ways to reskill at any point without paying the 100k?

About 40 odd hours in, really enjoying it, minor graphical bugs, nothing immersion or game breaking yet, very engrossed in the story.

Getting a 100K ain’t that hard. I recon it is a good price to pay for respecting. I have spent a lot of money buying all the cars. Though there are a couple very expensive ones over 100K I do not have yet.

I probably won’t bother to reset my skill. That will be for a brand new playthrough in about 6 months or so.

Yeah, true, the 100k isn't insanely hard to get, I got up to 43k last night with a few NCPD interventions, however don't want to spend 100k to suddenly find I can get it for free at a certain story point.

I haven't bought a single car, don't see the point, can just steal whatever's nearby :D I have my starter car, Delemains and Jackies arch, helps me out in a pinch.

Interesting negative video, and I cannot disagree with his noted faults.

Still enjoying the game for what it is, probably because I don't hype games or believe anything I read before I play a game for myself.

A tad annoyed though, the chap says there won't be any spoilers in his review and there is one, a quite major one that I wasn't aware of, so just a heads up.

Way I saw it was what else am I going to do with all the money? I already done all the cyber upgrades I want. What I may do going forward is have 100K left aside for any upgrades I may need then spend the rest on cars.

My understanding is there is no other free way to reskill.

Yeah, I have stayed away from videos. Best watch those after completing.

I'm still fairly low/mid level despite being 40 hours in (i explore...A LOT :D) so money isn't rolling in thick and fast yet, that may change soon.

I am only 22 or so hours in. I just keep going from side mission to side mission. What is your street cred? Maybe you explore and look around more than I do. I intend to do that also at some point. Just enjoying the side missions at the moment and clearing the map of things.

Don't agree with a lot of his review, as I'm loving the game, but I'm astonished someone as informative and well spoken as him only has 27k subs whereas the **** on the previous page, that had his video delisted, has ten times as many. I assume nonsensical rants, poor attempts at humour, constant swearing and attacking everyone in the industry, including gamers, appeals to more people :(
