*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Also anyone with fast SSD's noticed how quick the game loads of your last save? It's literally like 5 seconds which is seriously impressive for an open world game like this?

BTW I am using the HDR settings from the resetera HDR guy of 4000 nits and 0.90 on the mid tone. It's the best I've seen it, anyway.

will try that setting in a mo. I'm aware the black levels are elevated atm which I'm hoping they'll patch. Nevertheless, it still looks way more stunning with HDR enabled. I'm currently just using the default setting; it detected my max nits automatically.

Honestly my expectations of how it would look/run dropped a bit after some of those leaked review numbers got out before release but now that I've sussed the most ideal settings, and basically sacked off RTX settings and only using DLSS balanced/quality - The visuals are absolutely excellent and so is performance for this type of game in general. The frame drops here and there are clearly bugs as well as the other glitches so am fairly confident these will be fixed in the next couple of big patches because CDPR's rep hangs in the balance currently.

You can bet that this drama has meant the majority of people will never pre-order one of their games again or get hyped up until release day.

2077 like I said earlier is a great game with characters and stories you want to immerse in but the bugs just let it down for many.

At 3440x1440 I have found very little difference between DLSS quality and DLSS PBalanced, I guess I would see a difference in screenshots though but in motion both look really good with Balanced yielding a higehr lowest fps in busier areas.

Can I ask what hardware and settings you're running?

I'm also playing 3440*1440p, on an RTX3070, and I've played around with the settings to keep RT on, but it's meant having RT & a few other settings on medium to maintain 50-60fps. I'm wondering if it could actually look & feel better to turn RT off, and move settings back up to high/ultra. When I was initially doing some testing I could double my FPS with RT off, and still get 50% higher FPS with much higher graphical settings and DLSS set to quality (currently running balanced, because performance looks like dog *****).

The base consols are a down right mess. PC version is the only one that performs to a playable standard.

Xbox and ps4 base consols crash constantly and just broken. Sony have done the right thing. I said it before but consol wise it needs pulling from sale, Sony have taken first step to do it

The dev should own up and pull it from sale themselves but I don't think they will. (I only mean pull consols version from sale)
ah I didnt realise that was the case :(

Who's bashing it? They've been discussing the issues.

Just one from the last page or so stands out. CDPR done as a Company xD some pretty big hyperbolic statement that one. Crowing on about some **** version on a 6.5 year old console. Lets stick to the PC performance in the PC thread eh.

Just heard on the news that Cyberpunk is being withdrawn due to so many complaints

Seems I heard wrong and people are getting upset.

Have to say I have very mixed feelings over the game having put some hours into it now - personally I came with no expectations and wasn't even sure what the game was trying to be.

So far personally I've not had any crashes fingers crossed and performance has been OK - though largely saved by DLSS which I have mixed feelings about.

I've had a lot of bugs but none have really significantly impacted on my playing of the game - odd things like cell phones floating in mid air, NPCs randomly walking through walls, etc. (which only help to increase the negative impression given everything else but don't actually impact on me playing the game) I have 5-6 times encountered bugs that stop progression but fortunately so far all but one could be sorted by simply saving and reloading the game and the other by reloading a few moments back (so you want to be handy on the quick save) the AI is dumb as **** but I've mostly just played it as a straight up shooter and don't care too much.

I find a lot of the mechanics though just too clunky or not implemented in the most thought out manner, etc. which leaves me with no desire to persist with them so as above I'm just putting my points into health and damage and playing it as a shooter - the combat is pretty meh though - though actually nothing that couldn't be saved with a little tuning up of it and tightening up the edges.

The biggest negative for me by far is the key binding situation and interface between the player and the game in general which is severely lacking, not helped that there seems to be some bugs with when information is conveyed to the player which might be necessary to understand what mechanics are available and how to use them. This aspect could be sorted really quickly with the right people on the job and the one thing that is impacting severely on otherwise a game I'd be enjoying more than I thought I might.

Oh and braindance stuff should be strictly mouse driven on PC - it could have actually been a really interesting mechanic and I initially quite enjoyed the use of it in a particular mission but it gets old fast dealing with keys, etc.

I don't think the game is beyond saving but they need some crisis meetings fast and a strategy to get out this hole including some focus groups on things like how clothing, crafting, etc. should be implemented, fleshing out the wider game world which much of the framework is there for just its usage is a mess.

I am loving it. Put 30 hours in so far and mostly done side missions :D

Also it has not been in development for 10 years. They only ever went full on development once they were done with Witcher 3 as I understand, before that it was a small team.

Yeah, I was expecting more to be fair. Does not stop me enjoying what is there though.

I don't doubt it's a good game. Definitely will be. Just ain't paying full whack for something that'll be fixed and half price in 6 months. I'm glad you are enjoying it though. And merry Xmas TNA

So you think its unpolished and havent played it, but then say its broken, then it's a good game
Hopefully you have had 10 pints. If not, maybe it's time.

I've only had 5 and didn't follow that one bit :D

You got me. 10+ pints. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiqKd8gX7Qg

But, OK I said broken. There isn't a game that come out that is better on release than after a few patches.

I don't doubt it's good - just £50 for something that'll perform better in 6 months and 1/2 price. Just full whack ££ for game beta tester...nah. Too old.

Merry xmas guesty

Yes got it installed on a fast nvme and it loads saves incredibly quick. 4 secs was the fastest i got on a particular save.

Finally encountered my first npc t pose tonight in afterlife. Randomly near the entrance one guy is just stood there in the t pose. You can talk and interact with him but he doesn’t move lol.

other bugs ive seen, falling off short distances and dying. Happened a few times after installing the double jump ware.

reflections of some npcs are missing textures. Most notable in some cutscenes or walk and talk scenario’s with the main characters.

during races some of the cars you use will glitch when a certain npc leans out to shoot. The character disappears and the gun just floats there.

floating objects is a big one, seen quite a few of them now.

police randomly popping up behind you when you’re being chased is a bit annoying. Breaks the whole cops and robbers immersion. You could be hiding in cover and they will spam right behind you.

Also police shooting you after you’ve helped them out. Really weird one, happened a few times now. One way to fix it is to bolster your weapon straight the fire fight is over.

Fist fight control fluidity could do with some refinement. I find it abit messy and clunky and doesn’t flow very well.

None are game breaking but would be nice to have them resolved. Overall still really enjoying the game after putting nearly 50 hours into the game.

The sex scenes are great haha. Very immersive especially with Judy :p

Hmmm already max'd out my Street Cred to level 50 and not even done 1/3 of the minor missions, never mind the proper side and main missions but I've picked up loads of Legendary stuff along the way.
