*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

When I play Star wars games and I'm using a lightsabre, I would love it if I could actually slice through the majority of the game world items, not to mention, one hit with a sabre anywhere would leave bodies in half, limbs cut off, decapitating people etc. given that I am using a lightsabre.... But just because I can't doesn't make the likes of fallen order a bad game.
Well said. People need to remember that it is just a game after all and not let silly things break the immersion and fun. But each to their own. In a way maybe it is good as it will push devs to fix and improve such things in this or future titles I suppose.

Im glad i was proved right with this game being a buggy mess for at least 6 months, happy i avoided it.
Over 51 hours played and loving it. You are missing out ;)

Sticking with my 5 out of 10.
9 out of 10 for me still. But I am only halfway though the main story probably so it might drop.

Yup exactly, people can keep making videos comparing the physics etc. on things where you run around bashing lampposts with a stick etc. but lets be honest, do people actually do this? :p :o :D

Now, if this where a game like the division for example, when it comes to you having gun fights in the middle of streets and using cars as cover etc. (core gameplay mechanics) then the physics here for tires blowing out, windows being shot to hell gradually etc. are important to the gameplay and immersion. All of the gunplay etc. that I have done so far on CP has been in buildings, of street areas, nothing in the middle of the city/roads.

well go play that star wars game that came out a year ago.

its pretty ******* good actually!!!

60 hours for me and I’ve just finished it. Did it twice for both “good” endings and they were terrible. For such a fantastic story, the endings are pretty dire

I have nothing left to do even when it offers you the chance to go back. Finished all the side content and car missions so that’s me done until DLC

Overall it was a 9/10 for me. Story and side content is just so good. Only the endings let the story down. Buggy for sure, but an absolutely fantastic game, kept me wanting to go back all the time

The 2nd of half of the story is when it does drop and becomes a 6/10 for me
So you are judging the game purely on the story or was it only a 7 out of 10 for the first half?

I agree story is a very important part but I can’t see it dragging my score from 9 to anything lower than an 8 at this point, but we will see.

I assume you did not bother with the blue icons as I spent a good 20 hours on those alone, and there is still more :p

Done some side quests. Going to focus on the main story for a bit. Some of the side quests take ages. Still finding it really immersive, but also really slow at times. Can’t find a setup that I like, but am enjoying melee more than I thought - I want those blade arms, they look fun - mantis blade? How do I get those?

The biggest bug I’ve encountered so far was in combat when I suddenly transported through a garage door and got stuck inside - weird that there was a room in there, but no door that could open.

It’s about an 8.5/10 for me so far.

I’m at the point at the moment where I’m about to enter some voodoo church having found Evelyn. Must be a higher level area since the enemies seem to absorb bullets more easily.

I did the Organised Crime ones but haven’t done the Assault ones, there’s no real benefit to doing them unless you like to 100% games.

Managed to do all side quests and every gig/NCPD and other quests in all the regions around the outside of the corpo plaza area now, so just got that central area to clear out then that's everything but the main mission finished. It's been a real journey experiencing the side quests, many of them which have a mini story arc of their own are very well made, there's so much character building outside of the combat. It's one of those games which is absolutely worth the full price because it's so packed with content.

I spent 1 hour creating my character and now my female V looks like a bum since I'm forced to wear items with good stats but awful looks.

The base armour figure is based on your Player Level, so for example, at Player Level 1 a Common Jacket might have 5-10 armour and no Mod slots but at Player Level 50 the same Common Jacket will be spawned with a 180 Armour rating (tested it myself) but still no Mod slots, so the entire game design is seems to be based around constantly changing your clothes to find better armour until you get to the highest Player Levels when the stats mostly level out allowing you to wear anything. Also, because the game is 98% First-Person, who cares what you look like, you rarely have to see it outside of the Inventory screen :D

I agree, I wonder how much people who have ditched it early over glitches/over-sell are missing out on because it's not as polished or complete as they wanted it to be? I tried restarting with a new character but meeting some of the people again knowing how it ends for them is harder than I imagined, even if I'm trying my best to change whatever I can for a positive outcome for those I can help.

The benefit for me was I wanted to explore the city while doing them and getting familiar with the game world and how it all works. Also levelling up street cred and generally not rushing anything. I still have more to do, but will do those at the end of the game. I will 100% then game for sure :D

Trouble with that is how quickly you hit level 50 street cred. I’d hit it before I’d started Act 2, and didn’t even realise. So I soon lost motivation for the assault in progress jobs given how tedious and easy they were. Similar with the level cap, hopefully they raise it in the DLC as you hit max level far too easily, well I assume 50 is max level like street cred?

And I think the side content got me exploring all those areas anyway.

I thought this game was good overall but games that don't have a proper conclusion are a bit lame, just sending the player back to a save before the last mission is lazy in my opinion. They should have done something like RDR 2 so the would is still playable after the final mission, even if they just created a new character with all the perks/gear would have been better.

Agreed. They should have definitely made it so you did not max out street cred so easily. Had they made it harder to max out street cred then it would motive you to do more of the blue icons. At least there are still individual stats like crafting or quick hacking that you level up so still feels like you are progressing somehow.

Mantis blades aren’t as good as I expected.

They really aren’t. The only benefit to them is the charged leap you can do, but the execution is far too slow and happens far too often.

I still use a Katana as my only weapon and with 15 odd points in blades, it’s ridiculously overpowered. I only use a gun when I can’t reach someone

I might go down that route. Any essential perks? What type of gun do you carry?

I’ve learnt a lot for my next play through. I’ve made loads of mistakes.

I’ve got an assault rifle equipped and Skippy, but very rarely use either. My rocket arm combined with a blade is just such a good combination. Double jump, rocket and anything that doesn’t kill gets finished off with a katana. My attack speed is so stupidly quick that I can just spam the left mouse button and don’t really take much damage

I’ll take a screenshot of my blades points and paste it here, can’t remember off the top of my head.

Doh! Should have bought the rocket arm.
