*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

It's so weird this game. I'm constantly in awe of the effort they've put it to creating this world, but equally baffled by the lack of effort in making it even the slightest bit immersive. Everyone mopes about like zombies, there aren't many, or any unique animations you see from npcs as you wander around. Everyone is just plodding along from A to B in the most dreary way. Some hold their arm, some don't. That is the limit of NPC interaction it seems.

I see people saying that it is all going to be patched and the game will then be amazing etc, and it brings to mind for me an image of Gordon Ramsay shouting at a poor restaurant owner in one of his Kitchen Nightmare shows "you want me to put a band aid on but let me tell you, YOU NEED SURGERY!"

Problem for me is - even if they release a big patch and transform the game - I will never get to play it for the first time with that experience now.

What bothers me more really is the state a lot of the bread and butter mechanics - simple things like input settings and the state of crafting and clothing etc. - it definitely feels like there has been no real play testing and the developers have had their personal setups honed in and haven't really tried playing it as a new player.

A few questions -

1. Can you untrack a quest? If you can I can't seem to be able to find how.
2. Is it worth buying a new cyberdeck or will I get one for free by questing?
3. Is it literally just random how and when npcs attack you when you are waking along the street? As I keep walking along with everyone else then suddenly my screen starts flashing and I'm in combat with some gang members.

1. I believe you just press the track button again, I always found it useful to have a quest tracked though

2. You'll get some, but cyberdecks and cyberware I found best to buy in general. Never needed to buy weapons or armour.

3. You can see their line of sight on the minimap, so just stay out of that, or move fast. If the minimap comes up as "Area: Safe" you don't need to worry about line of sight in the same way - only if you're going to do something against them.

1. Either through the map by right clicking on another yellow quest or through the Journal and clicking on a different mission title.

2. Yes you need to buy better cyberdecks for increased hacking, I've only got free "slow down time" and "berserk" cyberware during missions, no free cyberdecks.

3. The games a bit broke :D just make sure you don't have a weapon out when you go past random street gangs and you "should" be unmolested.

Is there a way to craft more than one Bounce Back at a time?

No but there are INI mods found on nexus mods which take the time required to craft from 800ms (0.8 seconds) to 5ms etc, the duration of which you can adjust yourself (open the file in notepad and edit yourself if you want 10,20,60,1000ms etc).

I have no option to holster weapons in the settings, seen there is an entry in the config file but haven't messed with it and the default binding for it that is in the config file and popped up on the screen at some point early on doesn't seem to work for whatever reason.

I've managed to play through the game so far without bothering to holster my weapon but probably part of the reason for some of the odd things that happen.

The amount of times ive used skippy and its got me into ****! Try moving through a gang area or corpo with bots etc (the bots remind me of the ones from code 8), i press aim and skippy FIRES OFF A ROUND!! Alerting everyone to my presence ffs!

Holster is hold down Alt key and then, on the weapons wheel you see, you select the image of a Pistol with the red circle/no symbol, its on the bottom right of the weapons wheel.

What weapons wheel? I have no weapons wheel.

Looks likee this (copied from website)

Hmmm maybe you've mapped the key to something else? Check keybinds

It is set to:

<mapping name="WeaponWheel_Button" type="Button" >
<button id="IK_Pad_Y_TRIANGLE" />
<button id="IK_Alt" overridableUI="switchItem"/>
</mapping>

IK_Alt is also bound to switch item and cycle vehicle lights - can't remember if I changed any of those myself.
