*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

They said just some bug fixes for all platforms. Not a substantial fix to anything other than inadequate performance on PS4 and Xbone. Which is itself likely to be underwhelming because there's nothing CDPR can do about the hardware of those consoles.

PR talk usually overstates what will be done. It rarely understates what will be done. So I think you're being very optimistic. I think CDPR will probably do something to move the game somewhat closer to the game they claimed they were selling, but not much and not soon.
Huh? All I am saying is the PC will likely also get fixes in the next hotfix or patch or whatever you want to call it. I cannot see it being just for consoles.

Just completed this last night. I squeezed 124 hours out of it; an exhaustive play-through which also included experiencing all of the endings I was able to access by reloading previous save games. Each of which, I must add were a
complete and utter disappointment. None of them took into account any of my previous actions. The dialogue between V and Johnny especially, but also some of the calls you receive during the credits, seemed on occasion to contradict earlier plot lines. So much so that I actually question whether or not some of the endings are bugged.

All that said...I did enjoy it. But at best, it was only half of what I was led to believe it would be. Roll on the next Deus Ex, the king of dystopian cyberpunk RPGs, imo....

6/10 (subject to change should the game be totally revamped. Which I doubt)
Wow. That score seems harsh. I mean if it was a 6 out of 10 for me, I would not have bothered playing after a few hours. How did you manage to slog through 100+ hours? :p

I hope they do make another Deus Ex. But we will probably get another Cyberpunk before we get one of those :(

TBH I wouldn't even rate it 5 out of 10 despite having put a lot of hours into it - for all there are some beautiful moments and some things it does well there are far too many issues with the game and the one he highlights is one of the biggest crimes of all that ultimately you have very little agency in a genre that is all about agency.

I think people would generally rate it more hightly if it didnt have so much hype surropunding it.

if it was just an "oh this is getting released and it looks like it might be cool" rather than what it was, I think people would rate it highly.

you cant big something up and then not deliver some absolute gold

I agree, it was one of my biggest issues with the game also.I did not mind all the bugs, even found them amusing at times. I just do not see how that makes the game a 5 or 6 out of 10. Horses for courses I guess.

I rate it for what it is, simple as that. I rated it relatively high vs some here. Still did not stop me being left disappointed however.

I deducted 40% because despite enjoying it, that's approximately the amount of content that seems to be missing. Also, the endings suck. All of them.

I'm assuming this to be either a bug or an extremely poor design choice, but even if you acquire unique weapons / armour beyond the "point of no return", when you enter the game again post credits, you've lost them all. The fecks the point in that!?

The idea is that you go back in time or something. You're literally going back to before the final mission, so it's supposed to be like the final mission hasn't happened yet.

So I think it's a design choice, not a bug. By design, you can't actually continue playing after the final mission even if you got an ending in which that would be possible. Maybe DLC will add some post-end content. Maybe. But I suspect not. I suspect it will be more pre-end content because some endings preclude post-end content and DLC that's not usable by players who got some endings would probably be a bad idea.

Since I hadn't seen any material about Cyberpunk 2077 at all before release and thus had no absolutely idea what CDPR were claiming to be selling, I'd rate the game 7/10. Had I been expecting the game CDPR were claiming to be selling, I'd have rated it about 3/10 because it's nowhere near being the game they were claiming to be selling.

The question was about substantial fixes, though. Not merely some bugs being fixed. Fixes for the fundamental problems in the game, the missing features and/or the crudely cut content. Something substantial. Some of the things that CDPR haven't acknowledged at all.

You can keep some iconics from endgame but bizarrely there are iconics in endgame that don't go back with you.

Unnecessary annoyance.

I've just finished Pyramid Song, the last Judy side quest and it was a striking example of what Cyberpunk 2077 could have been and maybe almost was. Judy is the most fleshed out NPC in the game and you can get to know her more than most(*). If anyone is playing and hasn't done her side quests, I recommend them. Someone you could leave NC with, head off to somewhere less sordid and use your loot to set something up. A crafting/repairing shop for my V (L20 crafting - could easily make a good living from that), a virtu studio and/or diving school for Judy. Would be good.

The Tyger Claws ruined the new arrangement for Clouds and killed people. That doesn't work for me - by now, my V is capable of killing the whole gang and would do so. Probably before they attacked Clouds. It's on his "to do" list anyway. But Cyberpunk 2077 being what it is, you don't have a choice.

* No, I don't mean the sex scene that there's a weird amount of focus on online. My V's a man and Judy's homosexual, so that's a non-starter anyway. I mean "know" not in the biblical sense.

No it was not. Here is what I replied to:

I dont think so, in the video that they released on youtube, they said they were concentrating on the console bugs i thought, PC fixes will be later i reckon, not next update, course there fix PC bugs eventually, but thats not there priority at the moment.

The line of posts was this, though:

Be nice if it is a substantial fix. We will see I suppose.
There wont be no big fixes for PC, as they think PC version not to bad compared to console version of the game, its the fixes on consoles there doing.
Of course there will.

So I think it was about substantial fixes, big fixes, but made unclear by some posters replying without quoting.

I think there will soon be some bugfixes but not any big fixes. Not on PC. They might be able to pull out a big fix for PS4 and Xbone, as that's their main focus, but that at most.

I understand what you are saying, but I think it is clear what I took issue with by looking at what I quoted and what I replied with. You are just overthinking here ;)

All I am disagreeing with is that based on the video they released that the take away from it is they will work on console issues first and pc will get fixes eventually. Simples.

Yeh course there will be normal little fixes, that goes without saying, but the big problems will not be fixed any time soon, well thats what i got from the released video, there main concern is sorting out the console versions.

I probably wrote it wrong, we may see little fixes, big fixes are 6 months to a year away i reckon, like missing stuff etc, performance issues like on the consoles they want to fix, will be first, thats what they said, that aint really a problem anyway on a good pc, just as expected, fixes and missing features is another thing, plenty of people putting in 100's of hours into this game on pc.
