*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Just in case you do:

It's the site of a hidden side job with the 6th Street gang. On a roof nearby there are some gang members having a party and shooting contest. You can enter the contest, which involves drinking spirits and shooting at targets. Shots and shots! Subtle gang humour. Those faces are the targets, the police line "tape" is the minimum firing range for the contest. If you hit every target within the time limit (IIRC there are a total of 44 targets in 4 locations) using the crappy pistol provided for the contest you win the prize, which is a unique legendary gun. Or you could kill them all and steal it.

My V never got it because they failed to hit all the targets in the required time and wasn't extremely hostile to the 6th street gang at the time so didn't just kill them all on sight.
I failed the first time as I went past the line somehow. So I just reload and did it again and got the gun. Simples :)

Done just over 5 hours and so far it's OK, no major bugs to speak of just a couple of graphical glitches here and there... Not sure what to think of the world as of yet and the graphics look really good one minute and average the next.

I happened upon it, won the competition first time and never used the gun.

I ended up using smart guns, but not that one. G-58 Dian (SMG) and HJKE-11 Yukimura (full auto pistol), both crafted. Legendary, every mod slot with an epic Crunch in it. No need to care about recoil with a smart gun since you don't have to aim anyway.

Full auto smart guns are just the job for "Y'all get dead quickly now, I have a job to do" playing.

I used Fenrir for a lot of the game, but you have to aim with it and it grated on me as unnecessarily cruel so I was using it mainly as a straightforward SMG rather than relying on the special effect. Then I switched to Yinglong, which is very effective but does AoE damage too and that will kill civilians. So, G-58 Dian. The pistol is just for training pistol skill.

anyone having perf issues on 1.11?

1.1 was great, but since the 1gb patch to 1.11 the game feels jerky and sluggish to me, like it's 30 fps. Overlay says 60fps though (capped at 60fps on a 5900x and 3090)

I know keanu had got some stick for his performance, and just generally the character had too, but honestly I think he's quite good. Yeah some very wooden delivery but overall it works for me

Stopped playing Cyberpunk a while ago and decided to have another go at GTAV but with the redux mod. It’s just such a better game in pretty much every way even though it is 7 years old now, the only thing Cyberpunk does better is the visuals but GTA6 will show just how average Cyberpunk is.

I found a placeholder "to do" type of shard today, something that was obviously intended to be fleshed out later. I found it mildly interesting, so I'm posting about it.

It's titled "Arasaka-controller districts of Japan" and the text is as follows:

Information about various Japanese districts, including Chiba11, which is one of Japan's most dangerous and rundown areas. (this serves as background information for where Takemura came from. In dialogue he mentions that he lived in its slums, and Arasaka chose some young boys for their service, including him)

I found it on level 21 of the redwood market in Japantown, an obscure area most players probably won't go to. I think you might pass through a bit of it during the mission to get to Hanako Arasaka. Maybe. I thought I recognised parts of it. I also found a living bird up there, perched on a balcony. There's an iconic smart pistol in a locked (technical ability 11 required) room up there. Genjiru? Something like that. It's nothing to write home about.

There is a surprising amount of that stuff dotted about in obscure places. I've found a few bits where they obviously intended something but never finished it as well like corridors in the megabuildings with NPCs and containers of misc items which you can only get to with double-jump and semi-exploiting the scenery to avoid the flatline triggers but go more than a few steps down the corridor further and you hit an invisible flatline trigger.

Personally I thought the Keanu stuff worked quite well but I've never been put off by his quite flat delivery as some seem to be.

After finishing my 2nd Nomad runthrough (now at 200hrs) I decided to delete all 130+ of my previously saved games. Then I started again with a male Nomad, Street-kid and Corpo and decided that, rather than "multi-task" my build as I did before on my last two run-throughs I'll make three very specific builds instead-

Nomad - Firearms
Street-kid - Melee & Blades
Corpo - Netrunner

I'll also limit myself to using no higher than Rare clothes/weapons as, when equipped with Legendary everything, the game is just far too easy, even on very hard level.

I imposed a self handicap.

With my current playthrough I've not taken Intelligence or Technical higher than 3 on Very Hard. Makes it a lot more interesting. The enemy damage is meaningful. When your build becomes more realized it does of course become a lot easier but I've found that if I'm not careful they can take me out easily enough.
