*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Been replaying it on the new system, I loved it the first time though on my 8700k and 1080ti.

Going back through with everything on Ultra, (aside RTX) with the 6900xt and 12600k, it's such a vastly better experience.

The game has received mixed reviews, but imo its absolutely brilliant from start to finish.

Love The Matrix vibe to it.

There was likely a lot there to work with already.

The stations already exist but it feels like they cut it because priorities and just left us with the much less effort fast travel boxes on the street.

It sounds silly given the long years of development, but CP2077 was obviously a rush job. It's like getting up 2 hours early for work...plenty of time, no need to get going, pootle about a bit, read a book, have a cup of tea, no worries...hmm, another cup of tea and carry on with the book..it's a good story and there's plenty of time since you got up 2 hours early...oh hell, that was 2.5 hours ago and now there's no time and you have to rush rush rush and cut out anything not absolutely essential in order to have any chance of getting to work on time!

Some parts of CP2077 look to have been cobbled together at the last minute to cover the holes left by cutting out parts that couldn't be done in the last minute rush job. Like, as you say, the fast travel boxes to cover the hole left by cutting out the metro stations. Also some of the side stories. Some of the holes were just left because it wasn't essential to cobble together a covering for them in order to have a functional game. Some of the side stories. Some of the environmental storytelling. Some of the character stories. Some of the perks/passive skills (the menu options for them were made, but some of the perks/passive skills have absolutely no code behind them and do nothing at all).

I'm hopeful for a sequel that's genuinely finished before being released. There's a lot of potential in the gameworld and CP2077 sometimes makes it.
