*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I missed all the dlss 3.5 is it just a de-noise for ray tracing? Presumably just for 4 series right?
DLSS dll is at version 3.5 now (DLSS 2), DLSS 3.5 is something different, that is Ray Reconstruction which uses AI to remove the RT noise as well as remove the light response latency seen in all light reflections from ray tracing currently. this part of the tech is supported on all RTX cards and can improve fps by a few fps at most because of its nature in improving ray tracing efficiency.

It's only frame generation that works on 40 series cards.

Phantom Liberty takes place during the main game, not after it (though you can access it even without having saves available - same as you could in Witcher 3). And apparently it is possible to gain access to a new possible ending through it.

Probably something that should have been in the original release, along with all the QoL fixes etc. Got to love "it's done when it's done"

Hopefully we get the game we was hoping for on release

Still won't be imo. One of the things I remember thinking it would have is choices you make having a big impact on the game world. Doubt that will be the case. Also most buildings you won't be able to enter still I bet.

Will be a lot better overall though and enjoyed it on release so I know I will be having fun for sure :D

Wish there were factions you could join etc which depending on what you did made each playthrough different.

I am still waiting for the day we get a game where each playthrough can be quite different due to choices one makes. Dying Light 2 made a big deal about that. But was only like 2 choices and not a big deal in the end :(

Modders could add factions and nee stories one day hopefully?

Night City Wire later today. I predict the surprises will be update 2.0 this evening after the stream, and new DLSS 3.5 update from Nvidia to unlock it in the game with Portal RTX updated to support it too.

Witcher 2.

And there is a reason why no games do this. Huge amount of extra work for very little benefit, because most people never replay games.

And Witcher 1, three different endings that shows in both Witcher 2 and 3 to an extend.

Whops, was also going to post this.

Not exactly what I meant to be honest guys. Different endings is nothing speciel. Don't think Witcher 2 did what I am talking about either.

I am talking about a game where choices you make change the world and dialogue in a meaningful way. Yet to see that done properly. I was expecting that from Cyberpunk and dying light 2.

On a separate note, what I look forward to in the future is games that integrate llm's into them. Imagine if the next elder scrolls did that? Now that would be something awesome :D

Never got around to trying it on a 13th gen Intel but always found my older 6/12 Xeon played the game better than 8/16 10 and 11 series CPUs, dunno if related to the memory bandwidth as the Xeon's quad-channel still gives it a fairly respectable memory performance even by modern standards. Aside from literally a couple of places it handled max crowd density without stutter or significant slowdown.

I wondered sometimes if it was optimised in development on systems running on X79 or X99 platforms - partly because of the odd AMD CPU performance issues on launch.

Whatever may be the case from the past, the current state of the engine appears to leverage whatever CPU power you have efficiently so they've made some big strides in optimisation in the last few patches for sure.

You don't need to run any tool, just check the system requirements for the game and check your specs meet one of the categories.

And then visit Nvidia to make sure you have the latest geforce driver.
