*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

As in you expected it to give it death or what?
Without RT on mine in with FG/DLSS goes upto 120-130 fps. mental, average about 93-110 at worst! I noticed no difference in fps pre 1.6 or 2.0, been solid the whole way.

Yea I was reading about how the 2.0 update is more taxing than the 1.63 version.

Path tracing etc....

Except I get 130 fps.

I guess the best IQ will be with frame generation off?

So maybe I can try that.

Thoroughly enjoying my 2nd playthrough, insprired with DLC purchase, having last completed when at patch level 1.06!
Started afresh with 2.0, as a netrunner, which is a slow start what with figuring out the amended skill system, but is begininning to shine around lvl30 - skippy's complementing it well when needed.

The world is certainly a lot more alive than at release.

Thought I'd get to DLC around 12ish hours, but nope, voodoo boys aren't on the radar yet - attempting to get to near lvl50 before I do - got nice dlc car, and Ken Block's one which make travel fun (and a bike for filtering).

Not figured out how to reduce enemy netscanner tracing, but probably tied to specific skill and hack.

Oh PanAm ;)

Sonic Shock is the hack you want to upload first onto your target, blocks them from the network so NO trace. Higher grade versions stop their allies from even visually noticing them. Alternatively some decks reduce traceability as do some perks.

I reported last week that my Cyberpunk in game hdr brightness setting isn't correct eg in game setting of 630nit = 800nit output on my lg oled.
I was testing last night on my other monitor which has 1000 output and I have to set the in game setting to 790.

My screens are calibrated in windows 11 and 99% of my other games track correctly. I remember it was an issue with another game but can't remember which one.

Me and Panam are now an item, we had a "moment" in a tank but now she wants me to move in with her! How do I tell her IAM happy as we are? Not sure I want to live in a tent, I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere and the broadband speed is terrible in the desert it's like 1 meg at best and the ping is >300ms!!!! Will be rubber banding all over the place. Think she's coming on a bit strong TBF but she is fit. What to do?

That's interesting info thanks for that. Will test out as I've been experiencing some blown out highlights and naturally didn't even consider the in game calibration might be borked....

Ask MostlyHuman for some mods to improve her jiggles and play one handed.

Not been keeping up with this thread recently and I'm still early in my new run and it's dawned on me now that skill checks now scale with character level. :(

Well that got modded right out. What a strange choice for them to implement.

New patch dropping as well.

Load of quests are fixed and:
Gameplay
  • Made it possible to properly switch to Arm cyberware by cycling through weapons.
  • Addressed an issue that could cause V to become invulnerable to all damage.
  • A wrecked NCPD cruiser without wheels won't be patrolling the streets of Night City anymore.
  • Fixed an issue where some obsolete mods in the Inventory and Stash weren't properly exchanged for a new weapon mod.
  • Fixed an issue where weapons obtained pre-Update 2.0 could have a Tier that's too high when compared to the player's level.
  • Removed various obsolete Crafting Specs.
  • Disassembling a Budget Arms Slaught-O-Matic will now give 1 crafting component.
PC-specific
  • Fixed an issue where the UI could show controller inputs when playing on keyboard and mouse.
  • Players unable to get achievements due to an issue that prevented Phantom Liberty achievements from unlocking on PC before a backend fix implemented on the day of the release will have them retroactively unlocked on GOG and Steam after loading a save from that playthrough. For the Epic Games Store, the issue is still under investigation.
  • Fixed an issue where, after installing Update 2.0 but not the expansion on GOG, a pop-up saying "Phantom Liberty downloaded - please return to the main menu to access new content" could appear in the in-game menu.
  • Improved image quality of DLSS Ray Reconstruction in the Ultra Performance setting.

Miscellaneous
  • Various crash fixes on PC and consoles.
  • Vehicle radio volume has been adjusted so it's no longer too quiet compared to other sounds in the game. If you've turned down the volume of other sounds in order to better hear the radio, you may want to re-adjust the volume before you continue playing.
  • Added sounds for the Basilisk that were missing.
  • Fixed an issue where the player could earn an infinite score in Trauma Drama by shooting at enemies dropping from a helicopter repeatedly.
  • Growl FM and Dark Star websites will now be visible when playing without Phantom Liberty.
  • Fixed an issue where disconnecting the internet didn't result in an error message being displayed in My Rewards and Cross Progression tabs.
  • The song History by Gazelle Twin and Trash Generation will now be disabled when the "Disable Copyrighted Music" option is turned on.
  • Fixed an issue where hair didn't cast shadows when Ray Tracing was enabled.
  • Players who pre-ordered Phantom Liberty but didn't get the Quadra Sport R-7 "Vigilante" will now receive it.
  • Several improvements and changes to Ukrainian localization, including fixes for lines where the translation lost its original meaning.

Ok cool but now vehicle sounds are a certain volume when the radio is off, and then greatly reduced as soon as the radio is turned on

PSA

Mods that remove vignette and/or sharpening filters, as well as lighting adaption mods like Preem Optics will break weather (incl. weather mods). The only time weather will change will be for scripted events during missions etc.

(there is a lighting adaption mod that uses CET instead which makes it compatible with weather, but I personally find it too fast as it causes lighting flickering. Likewise you can disable vignette through CET, but that only disables the additional effect when crouching, not the permanent vignette applied to the game)

I wondered for the longest time why my weather was not changing naturally...

Also if you struggle to get your vanilla weather working again there is a trick as below:

"The game can get stuck on permanent Sunny (game bug, not from any mod). Several people have reported this happening at the beginning of Act 2 (after the heist), and I personally have experienced that as well. I think it gets fixed by getting to any scripted weather change in the game, but the easiest one is to go to the Blade Runner easter egg location to trigger some scripted rain (MAKE SURE TO EXIT USING THE ELEVATOR)."
