*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

There's a massive cavern of difference between the two games for bugs though. They both have many, but only one actually still engulfs you in a strong story, strong characters in every quest, you can actually drive vehicles, the graphics are worthy of the performance demands, need I go on, the listis extensive

I am talking about bugs though ;)

Really? İ love OG Deus Ex and completed god knows how many times. This game should, but never does remind me of it.

Could be I need to up the difficulty but I always found the game super easy on normal difficulty.

Right now I run up and slash dozens of people with my Katana and never die. Lol.

Due to all the upgrades I do enjoy the aspect of being op, but then that does seem to ruin the game.

On my next playthrough when I get my next GPU in 2025 I need to remember to play on Hard difficulty.
Play on hard.

I did a gig last night. Had to get something out a compound. Plan my entrance/ exit. Disable cameras etc , used some vents , selectively took out some targets for added loot.

Will do it for my next playthrough for sure. No point now as done most of the dlc I think.

Yeah, probably. Just don't want to at this point. Rather leave it on normal and have fun with my Katana for however many hours left of the dlc :p

For sure next playthrough will be on hard though. Just want to wait until I get a better GPU so I play it with PT next.

Also by then maybe all these bugs will be fixed :p

Lord Jesus who does art in heaven, may thoughts and prayers be with anyone who dares posting anything positive about cyberpunk on reddit :o

Reddit has it's very purposeful uses within specific category subs, but it's generally unfriendly in the wider category subs, like gaming vs pcgaming, gaming is full of tardbins ready to throw pitchforks around like the MAGA crowd, pcgaming lot are more logical and understanding generally.

Under what resolution and conditions? Path tracing on? Ultra? Because I've done this testing extensively to realise that between FG on and off, there's very little to no difference both static and in motion when path tracing with ray reconstruction is on. Ghosting of some stuff exists the moment you enable ray tracing though (both RT and PT affected).

I have everything turned on to the max at 1440p.

With FG on, other people in this thread where saying how visually stunning the game is... yet I've been thinking the game isn't all that.

I could definitely see visual ghosting with FG on. So I turned it off for a test and instantaneously noticed the increase in IQ.

Less blurry and more sharp the image.

Is your DLSS set to auto or quality? when you toggle some of the options like frame gen, it auto sets DLSS to Auto which I believe will be Performance or Balanced at 1440p, you then need to manually apply it then go back up and set DLSS to quality and apply it again.

If that all checks out then I'm gona have to say placebo, as there's no difference visually at 3440x1440 here, I even waited until a car sped by at the exact same spot between both screenshots to make sure to capture any additional ghosting the frame gen may introduce:

^ In fact in some areas of frame the FG On image looks to be a tiny bit sharper.

That frame generation is insane. I got a cheap 4070ti from my m8 so built a pc around that. 60 to 90 fps with 4k and everything maxed apart from the psycho settings. The 4070ti from what I was reading was pretty much a 2k card but that frame generation turns it into a 4k card.

C2077 does like to mess up your dlss settings when you change various other parameters.

I couldnt spot any difference except those due to wind movement and the adverts throwing different light on other objects.

There is conflicting information on what DLSS auto actually does, I'll have to have a dive into the SDK at some point to see how much flexibility the developer has. According to the documentation:

The RTX UI Developer Guideline outlines a DLSS Auto Mode. This is not a specific execution mode, but an additional user-friendly mode to map default mode to the current output resolution. (Please refer to DLSS Auto mode and DLSS mode Defaults sections)

These are the recommended DLSS settings based on output resolution. This is automatically set when user sets to ‘AUTO”

Disabled Below 1920x1080
Quality mode equal to 1920x1080, equal or below 2560x1440
Performance mode greater than 2560x1440, equal or below 3840x2160
Ultra Performance mode greater than 3840x2160 (e.g. 5120x2880 and 7680x4320)

That isn't the behaviour I've had from DLSS auto in the past where it appeared to be dynamically trying to keep FPS between 30 and 60 altering scaling on the fly for best quality compromise, but several people including game developers claim it doesn't do that. (I'm not really sure what is going on there as behaviour at 1440p in CP2077 was definitely different for me between auto and quality! when I messed about with settings on release to find what worked best.
