*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Wait what - they are changing to unreal engine for future games ?

I'm still getting over the tech. Pretty much instant loading - I always forget in the catch-up screen and I continue to listen to the TV broadcasts

Also, love the way characters seemingly walk into/out of conversations. I don't really notice that jarred 'reset' animation when they jump to the next algorithm which you get in other games.
There's going to be quite a few years before the next Cyberpunk game comes out. That's a long time for dev's to improve UE5. Hopefully they will succeed in at least matching the current engine.

At the moment all the current games using UE5 have a certain look to them, imo they don't look matured but like how early UE4 games looked before their current versions in a matured state.

Robocop is the latest example, it looks good from a distance, but look close and you can see the low quality geometry and colouring, certainly nowhere near the quality of nanite, lumen etc epic has shown off. That's even with all settings on epic so hybrid ray tracing is being used.

A few more years and things will be much better no doubt.

What is the recommended mod to fix HDR in this game?
The black levels are raised and the max luminance in game is higher than set in the options.
Cant get it looking right on my aw3423dw and will look into using a mod.
I managed to get a decent picture on my lg oled by setting:
Peak brightness: 630 (which outputs 800 peak in game)
Tone mapping mid tone: 1.2
LG option fine tune near blacks: - 16

Toxic rain really changes the mood in this game

HD Reworked has been updated

Noticed the textures almost immediately as I pulled up to this scene, the ground was full of detail - quality mod!

On a side note, I did notice something interesting. The camera in this game when even standing still is always bobbing like a steadycam, it's never static in one place, so naturally as the sun moves across the sky and the camera is moving, specular highlights react to this.

I've noticed that with Ray Reconstruction off, whether in RT or path traced modes and using an upscaler, that specular highlights flicker unnaturally. They should be softly twinkling with the bobbing motion of the camera, not shimmering or flickering abruptly. This is one area where ray reconstruction is genuinely an enhancing feature.

Played through 2.0 up until the point of no return mission. Couple of glitches here and there, nothing major.

PL came out, switched to that. Constantly unable to use the mobile to progress missions, have to reset to previous saves and hope. The car collections bug out on the one with the radar. And a bunch of other really annoying glitches that weren't there in the main game.

Reed wont call me after 3 days.
The side gig mission is broken after you need to call the woman after you find her buddy because the mobile is borked again.
Tried this one twice, cannot stomach it a third time.

Ticket in with CDPR but not expecting much back from them.
