*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Now about 15 hours into my second playthrough and it is a totally different game to my first play a couple of years back.

Way better in every respect. It runs better, looks better, and the gameplay changes make it much easier to play. I'm finding the plot of the game makes sense now- first time through, i had little idea what was going on!

I'd happily recommend this now.

Yes your main mod handlers like CET etc will need to be updated to support the new game patch. This is the way with mods for all games basically, they need to be updated after a game patch. You'll have to wait a day or so and look at the mod pages on nexus for those updates.

This is why I said a few times in the thread for people to click the track mod button on nexus so any new updates are easily visible in the notifications area on nexus.

Can now load the game as ArchiveXL etc have relead updates.

Tried out the Hybrid CPU mode and my findings:

P-Core Priority:

Auto (default):

With it set to P-Core priority I can see that even in-game the E-Cores are basically parked or single digit utilisation, there's loads of hitching and frametime stuttering. The OS in the BG is basically unable to use them for BG tasks, which is the whole point of E-Cires when gaming.

When left to auto, E-Cores are used properly and all P-cores are also utilised effectively. Total CPU package utilisation also climbs back up to around 49% whereas with it on P-Core priority it drops to the 30s.

I also noticed the GPU utilisation drops to the 80s at time when P-Core priority is enabled, whereas it's 99% when on auto.

It seems this mode is not suitable for 99% of people who have no problems on the default auto. Enabling it seems to disable the effective use of E-Cores by background tasks, which are forced to use the P-Cores whilst you game, hence the stuttering people are seeing. Intel's Thread Director can't allocate cores properly when set to P-Core priority, maybe a conflict is happening as Thread Director is trying to allocate workloads to the E-Cores, but the game is stopping the use of them etc.

TL;DR - The setting is broken, leave it on Auto.

I'm having to eat so much humble pie with this game. I criticised it for ages without giving it a fair go.

Now I've given it a fair go, about 16 hours so far, I am not too proud to admit I was wrong. Brilliant game was hiding amongst the jank. To the point I just want to get home and play more!

My only complaint against the game is bit of a niche one but it only seems to happen in this game out of the ones I've played. I play on a laptop. If I move between my laptop screen, my ultrawide monitor or our LG CX the resolution has to be manually changed each time. It's a minor thing but because I frequently move around where I play it's a bit annoying.

Aside from that, I'm loving it.

looks like im going to have to not play for a little while and wait for my mods to get updated. City of Dreams for example, it wont run until it does get updated.

I personally don't like the game in its vanilla state.

Some really impressive looking results for Cyberpunk here, had no idea about this mod. I might give it a go with the 2080ti now and see what happens.

**Edit**

Crikey.

1080p, Ultra settings, DLSS Quality, path tracing off

Without mod - 70.45fps average
With mod - 120.07fps average

1080p, Ultra settings, DLSS Quality, path tracing on

Without mod - 39.25fps average
With mod - 68.42fps average
