*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I am impressed the game runs on 2500K. Immortal CPU I guess. I bought it in early 2011 and used it until 2018. Kinda crazy that it still works for games in 2024.

Even running at 4.3GHz, I was shocked that it was anything other that a 1080p slide show.

I’m running with most settings on Medium, but I think it’s the FSR 2.1 that’s doing the heavy lifting in my getting around 50fps average and it looks very nice as well.

So does this update do anything worthwhile aside from reduce quality allegedly ?
According to who lol

Edit*

Nova LUT modder has released a vibrant version that gives proper red and yellow colours. I think I like this more than Pure:

vibrant Does look a lot better than pure does.

I am tempted to give this game another go, The last time I played it was on release day and only managed 5 hours before I decided to give up and uninstalled it.

Does anyone have a list of mods that they would suggest using? I would be starting a new save\game

That is quite a striking difference in the intensity of the colours, how does it look in other areas such as outside the city?
Here are some around Dogtown/Badlands: Certainly amps up the ambience at night in these areas whilst retaining highlight detail and stuff that Nova LUT is good for vs stock.

On nexusmods under the game section filter mods by top by all time and you'll get a good head start on where to begin, many mods require baseline core mods like ArchiveXL, Codeware, AMM etc, install these of course as they are required in the background, then the mod you want on top. They are all drag and drop really.

I have mostly car mods, HD Texture Reworked which is 1.1GB of road textures and surfaces etc. And Nova LUT which improves the highlight and colour grades. I also have Night City Alive which adds gang variations and how often they burst off into gang wars around the city as well as access all area mod that allows you to open doors that are usually not accessible in the game by default.

Edit* Seen a cool mod that applies a decor preset to your Glen apartment, looks rather cosy actually hah:

That's impressive! I've got an i5 750 I'm tempted to try and run it with for my daughter :D
I think that might be just a little too old, but if you already have the game, it might be worth a try.

My Vega 56 is at 95+% utilisation all the time and the CPU varies between 65% standing still in an empty part of the desert and 100% driving through the city.

Nothing like that ut I did notice last night that some of my default cars like the Porsche and motorbikes are missing from the vehicle call list which is a bit weird!
