*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

On nexusmods under the game section filter mods by top by all time and you'll get a good head start on where to begin, many mods require baseline core mods like ArchiveXL, Codeware, AMM etc, install these of course as they are required in the background, then the mod you want on top. They are all drag and drop really.

I have mostly car mods, HD Texture Reworked which is 1.1GB of road textures and surfaces etc. And Nova LUT which improves the highlight and colour grades. I also have Night City Alive which adds gang variations and how often they burst off into gang wars around the city as well as access all area mod that allows you to open doors that are usually not accessible in the game by default.
Thanks, I will take a look

As someone who has mainly played and enjoyed the Bethesda style of open world game, how do you think I would cope with this?

Looking for a new game after Starfield got samey and I'm running out of things to do in Fallout76.

I enjoy missions, levelling up and crafting of weapons etc, is this type of stuff in this game? I've hovered over the buy button so many times recently but I dont want just another game to sit in my collection of games I tried for a few hours.

Compared to the usual Bethesda style of RPG, this is more open world and the missions (gigs) and side quests are way more varied and in many cases the side stuff is of greater interest than the main quest but they go hand in hand too, like NPCs will drop shards which give contextual meaning to happenings in the main storyline. References to people and earlier/later parts of the story are dotted around the city as you explore too and you are pulled in quite heavily into the story and all the different characters you meet along the way.

CDPR know how to craft character driven stories and immerse you in that better than Bethesda.

Having played 50+ hours of starfield (haven't actually completed it yet!) and now 20 hours of CP2077 back-to-back the first things I noticed were:

I can't pick everything up. In SF I would obsessively scan a room and check every time. Was weird going to CP2077 where everything felt a lot more, static?

CP2077 has zero loading screens as you explore the world. I expect if I went back to SF that would stick out like a sore thumb

I think Cyberpunk used to have more junk you could pick up, but they changed it a bit with all the revamps as it was all just junk.

In Starfield every character interaction is essentially talking heads, in Cyberpunk they actually use the camera and the characters feel way more dynamic.

There isn't really any contest here, the world of Cyberpunk is significantly more interesting than Starfield, and whilst it has bugs, it has a lot less of them especially in it's current state.

Yeah in my 31 hours in Starfield I amassed a whole load of useless junk just by spamming the pickup button on everything. In CP you can pick up loads of junk too, usually consumables, and they're usually useless too or other items like records or random items, but these can be sold to any vendor with a single keypress. In CP you can't just pick up a random pizza box or empty cup like you can in Starfield, this is what was slightly annoying in Starfield, you could pick up all the useless crap randomly and then sift through it all later or sell to vendors. The inventory system out of the box in SF is a bit trash, so without a mod to manage it, the whole process is a bit tedious I found.

To add to that, whichever method you choose, you can then call the car up from the vehicle call list just like the stock cars you own/acquire. Modded cars do not replace existing cars any more, you can simply add new cars to your garage.

You can however apply different paintjobs and interiors to existing cars, like the 911, I never liked the exterior so making it red and the inside cream was a nice mod, just drag and drop into the folder and that's it.

I tried this on release, got a good few hours in, but the bugs and the general unfinished state put me right off.

Maybe I listened to too much pre-release nonsense. Then it was a long gap until 2.0.

I've been back in, its so good I forked out for Phantom Liberty. I'm near the end now, delayed by work/real-life and will probably fire it up again after the final mission.

I don't think I've ever seen a game turn around like this (although I never played No Man's Sky).

Happy hunting, Chooms.

I got this on release then never played it due to the issues with it. Now that it's all sorted I'm just waiting on one of the new 4k OLEDs to fully appreciate it. Looking forward to it, finally!

Bought and played on Friday but had a sore head, possibly not the game as I seem to be getting a few lately, maybe new spec time.

Honestly the first hour or so I was not impressed (other than gfx) but I'm doing the heist now which has started to be a lot more fun because the sort of tutorial part seems to be ending, apparently it opens up after this heist part.

Came away after a second go on Saturday looking forward to playing again.

Very much the same experience as me. I'm having a blast with the game now to the point I wish I played earlier. I'm also very tempted to get the PL DLC. is it a DLC set after the game or is it woven into the base game story?

My issue, I blame Ubisoft, is that I've been focussing on the gigs more than the actual story missions!

Got a on the of new 27" Alienware OLED monitors recently and I've been testing out HDR on Cyberpunk. Which of the two HDR options should I be using? is one regarded as being better than the other or is it just a preference thing?

I was a good few missions in when I installed the dlc - not exactly sure how far. You get an invite to Dog Town and can head there when you want. I levelled up a bit more, than responded.

You can also start straight from there from the New Game menu. Haven't tried that yet.

Dog Town is pretty cool.

There's a decision to make in there, depending on how quickly you advance the story, which means you'll definitely want to replay it. I'm saved just at that point right now.

ok so the next weird thing im seeing is car driving jitter. My FPS is great at all other times but after a little while in car, it jitters and actually jitters for a bit when i get out of the car

Hmm anyone got some codes to try on this phone ?

Does the jitter show up on an RTSS overlayr on the frametime graph line or is the line completely flat?
