*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

No change to CPU performance and no measurable hit to GPU performance (4090 though) - EVen with HD Reworked project which is over 1GB of textures, all good. Only VRAM increased slightly really.

Hmm, I may have to give that a go this weekend. I have the fake 4090 laptop (so somewhere between the 4070Ti and 4080 desktop cards. 16GB VRAM) so hopefully it should be able to handle a little extra.

God I already can't wait until I can build a PC again.

I played this for about 15 hours when it released on Xbox Series X, had no performance issues and it ran fine for me. I just couldn't get into the game after that time though, the world felt so lifeless with some really empty areas and also severely lacking in things to interact with with. The combat was also not great on a controller.

However, I've just built a new PC and appreciate that the game has probably changed a lot since launch. Is the experience overall that much better since launch? Will it be better on PC over console in terms of controls, or am I getting my hopes up?

i got the game on release and gave up on it after a few weeks. Came back to it a few weeks ago and while i have been modding the crap out of it and having some weird issues, im really enjoying it.

just need to get some of that Judy Alvarez ;)

I've been playing it probably 60/40 with an Xbox controller. I prefer it with a mouse and keyboard but it plays fine with a controller.

My 3060Ti @1440p ran the HD reworked mod and 71 others @100fps with DLSS Q ...

Hey guys, just wanted to share something exciting I found out, sorry if it's already been posted:

So first of all apparently if you pick one of the endings you can then get an item which you hand in somewhere and then get a choice of a Blackwall power SMG which does Blackwall damage or you can choose a Blackwall quickhack which also does Blackwall damage.

I've not got these items yet so going to try do that ending tonight and get one of the items, apparently you can only choose one.

Also, I was wondering, at the end of the game you get something, I cant say what as I don't want to spoil it for others that haven't completed Phantom Liberty yet so lets keep that a secret but I was wondering if we could get it and for those of you that know what I'm talking about I searched google and apparently it's on Nexus MODS and it's a mod so you can have and use it all the time!

Again, I've not tried that mod yet either but going to install it now and try it out.

Oh for those that have no idea what I'm talking about...a hint (it becomes available on the helping Songbird ending) so unless you've done that ending you wouldn't of seen or experienced this super cool overpowered weapon thing, not quite sure what to call it.

EDIT: Another tip, did you guys know if you hold 1, 2, 3, 4, when getting your weapon out it will do the first equip animation? They added this in with one of the patches.

So no longer need to install a mod for first equip animation.

EDIT 2: They also added in the walk key, I bound it to G, I think it's unbound by default. It's really nice for walking around Night City.

I still use the mod as press and hold is annoying and it also triggers the animation if I select a weapon via scroll wheel.

G is my walk button too, GET OUT OF MY HEAD.

Btw if you hold the holster button, then the last weapon you used will be drawn with the first equip animation.

lol I literally only used that button as all other buttons seem to be used up in Cyberpunk like shift and Caps lock etc but I've actually got used to it now, especially since I use toggle to walk rather then hold to walk, so much easier. There's just too many nice areas in this game that I like to look at for ages, the design artist did a fantastic job and the lighting is amazing.

Also it took me a while to work out that V switched on the NEON lights on the wheels of your motorbike, did you guys know that too.

And cheers for tip, I didn't know about the holster hold, i'll try that out.

BTW I installed that Blackwall mod for the power and it worked flawlessly, no issues at all, took 30 seconds to install from Nexus mods used Vortex.

Also I noticed there's a Cybertruck mod now too that adds the Tesla Cybertruck to the game so going to try that out tonight as well.

Yeah other features many don't know about is if you hold V (or whatever your key is to cycle the headlights) when in a car, you can cycle main beam, if you just press V then the foglights or alt lights turn on. Depends on the car though as not all have secondary front lights.

so i think "and hope" i have reached the sweet spot with mods. Tried to keep gameplay mods to a min as thats what seems to crap things up. Thinking of starting from the start as i have my LUT looking sexy now and the high res mods make the game look amazing.

This game has level scaling, right? I've fallen into the same habit I have with pretty much every RPG. I get distracted doing side quests and items on the map.

I'm now level 37, maxed out street credit but I'm only half way through Act 2.
