*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I’ve have to revert for FSR 2.1 as even with the various mods to improve FSR 3.0, it still looks terrible with constant tearing.

I suspect the tearing is a function of my ancient rig dropping below the minimum frame rate FSR 3.0 recommends before engaging frame generation.

You might be hyper sensitive to it because of the monitor you're using maybe? I used to have that model and its an extremely fast TN panel

I might drop refresh rate to 100Hz to see what that looks like.
I’d be surprised if it makes a difference, it’s the panel that makes everything so instant on that model.

The only thing that might help would be motion blur I guess but that would go against the purpose of that monitor so I would understand if you hated the idea

Started another run and working on the Judy romance and some side stuff before heading into phantom liberty. So far think I prefer Panam's interactions but interested to see where it goes. This is still one of the games I love coming back to and just wasting half an hour driving round the place and shooting things :D

How many more generations before I can play this in 4k @ 120hz with full PT without FG?
With DLSS at quality? More than 2 generations. At performance then around 2. Currently we saw the 5090 do low/mid 60s fps 4K PT w/ DLSS Q (Pc centric's video).

Ofc vanilla PT is actually somewhat hobbled ray wise, so for proper PT I'd say even more gens.

It transpires that I’m an absolute numpty and have been using a DP > DVI adaptor that only supports 60Hz@1080p for years without noticing.

Now going outside to shout rude words into the fog and give my head a good wobble.

Pretty sure I have read quite a few people say that about you over the years here sir, so forgive me for not being surprised.

:p

After a bit of playing around (fell down the LUT hole), I highly recommend that Cyberpunk fans with older AMD GPUs to try FSR 3.0 frame generation with the mods that clear up most of the graphics issues the current implementation of FAR 3.0 can cause.

Why? Because my old PC is holding the same frame rate in the middle of Night City with High Texture Detail and High Crowd Density with FG enabled as it used to without FG on Medium Texture Detail and Crowd Density and does way better in “quieter” locations.

New patch out today, main changes:

  • Added support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, which boosts FPS by using AI to generate up to three times per traditionally rendered frame – enabled with GeForce RTX 50 Series on January 30th. DLSS 4 also introduces faster single Frame Generation with reduced memory usage for RTX 50 and 40 Series. Additionally, you can now choose between the CNN model or the new Transformer model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA on all GeForce RTX graphics cards today. The new Transformer model enhances stability, lighting, and detail in motion.
  • Fixed artifacts and smudging on in-game screens when using DLSS Ray Reconstruction.
  • The Frame Generation field in Graphics settings will now properly reset after switching Resolution Scaling to OFF.
