*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I'm still having some fun on my second playthrough, though. This incarnation of V is a bit psycho vigilante after Jackie's death and they're on a kill on sight spree against all gangs. It wasn't gangs that killed Jackie, but gangs are an available target. Guns and clubs. Bodies in dumpsters. Red shoes so the bloodstains don't show so much. Steal everything that isn't nailed down. Subtle? That's using guns instead of grenades, right?

They're going to calm down later, partly from chewing over what hate and anger did to Johnny and partly from their feelings for Judy, but that will be later. Right now, it's time to rampage.

Yes, they seem quite slow at releasing patches

My guess would be thats due to the unholy amount of things which need patching to make them work. Just within the Perks section, which is "the" most important character building/mod section, there are 34 Perks which don't work - Thirty ******* Four!!!!!

Here's a google database of all the Perks, Mods and Cyberware etc that are still broken - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...fLE1_vlAFO_zjq-WrKQoixgRQ/edit#gid=1168139006

I'm surprised how many are working mind - it seemed when I was playing only about 25% actually did something vaguely like the description and about 50% didn't seem to work at all.

Personally I find it highly dubious how many either barely work or seemingly have zero functional code though - that is skating very thin ice with fraud IMO.

EDIT: Some of those listed as working like the moment speed one I'm not sure are working or only work sometimes or something - I tried various combinations with the movement ones and the stat never changed in the character sheet and running between two fixed points showed no decrease in the time it took outside of margin of error.

Well thanks very much for firing up spoilers

Have the patches made the game run any better since launch on pc?

Yes. Not much, but some. Most importantly, a patch fixed the save file corruption that was inevitable on the PC version at launch because CDPR bodged savefile handling in a spectacular way and hadn't tested it. Some other bugs have been fixed. A significant performance improvement on PCs using AMD hardware, apparently. No change in performance otherwise. That problem was yet another bug, the game underperforming on AMD kit.

Shame about the patches :( will wait until it's a functional game before i buy it!

It's usually mostly functional now. Well, it is if you ignore all the things CDPR advertised as being part of the game that aren't. If you ignore everything said about what the game was going to be and instead judge the game as it actually is, then it's usually mostly functional. I've done a complete playthrough and I'm about 20 hours into a second playthrough. I haven't encountered any serious bugs that weren't fixable with one of the two usual methods (save and reload, trigger a cutscene by hiring a prostitute).

Any updates with pacth 1.2, didn't they say February?

They did, but that was an expression of hope rather than a guarantee. They've said nothing since. Maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't. Maybe it will be a major update, maybe it won't. Maybe it will introduce new game-breaking bugs (as patch 1.1 did, hence the hotfix 1.12 rushed out soon afterwards), maybe it won't.

It's probably better for CDPR to say nothing at all until they're absolutely sure that what they're saying is true. So I wouldn't expect any news until the patch is released, whenever that will be.

Does anyone know anything about a shard entitled "Patent #444/3/45"?

I found it during an "assault in progress" event in Northside, on the road heading northwest from the Martin street fast travel point. It contains what it describes as an encrypted message, but the usual ingame decryption option doesn't exist because the shard itself isn't encrypted. A nearby shard is called "access code", but it doesn't contain an access code and I see no way to use it on the patent shard anyway. I couldn't find anything online.

My guess is an unfinished side gig, but my curiousity is piqued.

TBH I ignored a lot of that stuff - there are bits which are either way to cryptic and/or refers to content which never made to the live game so I can't be bothered spending time trying to figure it out. There are a few references to a serial killer (not the River Ward stuff) as well - you can find a few scenes of their crime dotted about in obscure places - which seems to be cut content or something.

Yeah i have an amd cpu and i could barely play it stable on launch so i left it till it was fixed. I might give it another go and see how it is now.

Said this back in September and unfortunately considering my own experience of the game since, i was right :(

As someone who was deeply sceptical of the game I have to say it deserved better than this - CDPR really aren't doing themselves any favours either.

:D am in the car underneath btw :D
