Cyberpunk 2077

Just hit street cred lvl 40 at level 21. :p can finally get the best cyberdeck in the game and actually use it in the storyline.

Edit. Short circuit and overheat absolutely wreck. And it’s pretty must instantly/constantly castable :D

I have started this yesterday and have to say it’s very good, pulled me into the world right away. Controls were a bit clunky at first but turned off turn acceleration which has sorted it.

Not seen any bugs so far, been perfect. Story so far about 8 hours in is excellent, wild and eager to progress more

If you are on SX/PS5, I found that the 60fps mode was way more playable than 30 for a minor drop in fidelity.

Yea tried both performance and ray tracing mode, performance is the way to go. Pretty much any game that gives the option I will always go the higher performance route.

Series X

I got this on launch on PS5 but refunded it as it was just so broken on release, so many glitches in the first few sections.

Tried again on PC about six months ago. Got stuck with a crash about 30 minutes into the game, couldn't get past it.

Finally tried again on PS5 this week, and it's much better. Very much a slow burner, you need to give it a good 10 hours to get into it.

The world is ace and the variety of characters and overall feel of the game is very impressive. Still quite a lot of jank, dodgy animations and things snapping around, but doesn't ruin the experience like it used to.

The UI is dreadful though, find myself constantly hunting around trying to find things and the right buttons. No idea about the build I'm running really, haven't gone into much depth with it yet, but kinda happy just plodding through the story.

Same. Bought it on release. Sold it due to the state it was in. Bought it on PC a few months later. It was still a mess so it's sitting there unfinished.

Must have played the first three hours about 5 times then gave up.

The thing that annoyed me the most was the police spawning in behind you the second that you did something illegal. Totally immersion breaking. Have they patched that out yet?

Yes. Although it's still not perfect I believe. They certainly don't just appear out of thin air anymore.

They're entirely re-working the police system for the next update, although they haven't said too much about what that will actually look like yet.

Picked it up again at the weekend too after listening to some synth wave lol and enjoying it, left it midway through act 3 so I’m nearly ready to start act 3 so not much longer left to finish it off.

Good fun so far, it’s a real time sink. Had to turn off motion blur.

Edit: didn’t realise I hadn’t checked vrr on the PS5 to apply to all games. Has smoothed this out beautifully.
