Cyclists

Incidentally, I have.

Most cyclists I've spoken to have been complete tools.

"I have just as much right to be on the road as you do."

Puurrleease... Start paying road tax and I might reconsider.

And the post that confirms you're just in here to spark an argument..

Whilst you're in here Huddy you might as well lock up. It's the same old circle jerk arguments over and over and far too much raging.

I'll be honest - It's been a slow day at work today and yes I just wanted to spark an argument and yes I agree this thread should have been closed ages ago.

But I still... don't like cyclists :p :D

The fact of the matter is this.

Cyclists = people who have failed a driving test numerous amounts of times/can't afford a car.

Some people on here are complete tools reading through the comments made. I honestly cant believe some people believe what they do and have the attitude they do?!

Buchtis, your comment is complete tosh and you know it.

Fact 1, A cyclist has as much right to be on the road as you do regardless as to whether there is a cyclelane present or not. It is down to the cyclist to decide which is the safer to use.

Fact 2, There are dangerous, inconsiderate and idiotic cyclists on the road.

Fact 3, There are dangerous, inconsiderate and idiotic users of motorised vehicles on the road.

People that moan that cyclists hold them up, do you always leave to go somewhere at the very last minute expecting a traffic free run everytime? The simple answer is leave a bit earlier so you're not under so much pressure to get to your destination thus reducing the 'RAGE' you are currently experiencing.

With rising fuel costs many people have started cycling to work to help reduce outgoings.

This debate has been done time and time again and always will be. Every driver should be forced to cycle on the roads for a month and ride a motorbike on our roads for a month in my opinion. I would hope that would give them an insite as to what people on two wheels have to deal with though from comments on here I think some are completely brain dead so there is little chance!

Wait, I have been driving for 10 years, passed first time with 3 minors, never crashed, pay insurance, vehicle duty and have been riding a bike for 20 years, pls go.

Give as much space and time as possible to the more vulnerable road users, such as cyclists and horses. it's the right thing to do.

Although, admittedly, some cyclists do themselves no favours. They won't be so richeous when they ride into the back of my stationary car whilst I'm stopped for traffic lights. Why did they do that? Because they were too busy looking over their shoulders shouting at their mates. Of course, listening to the cyclist, his mates and their parents, it would seem that it's my fault he ran into the back of me.

I thought a big red Volvo estate would be fairly conspicious. Seems I was wrong.

Still, I only had a slight scuff on the rear bumper. He broke both his legs.

Justice, i think.

I could turn that around and say: Car drivers = people who fail at exercise and have don't know how to ride a bike. Stupid? Yes but just as stupid as your statement.:)

Personally I hate cyclists. There are far too many in my area, they are all the spoilt student types too. Problem is they think they rule the road.

Many time have I tried to cross the road, a cyclist comes bombing round the corner and has to slow or stop for me crossing - which usually results with them calling me a "******* idiot" or sometime equally as offensive.
