Cyptolambo 2 is dead.... kindai goes car shawping

Popped into a local dealer who had a cayman 981 gt4 up. It was the car nearly bought before getting the Gallardo.

Amazingly fun car at the right money. But finding one in a fun color would be an absolute effort. Its no secret I think most Porsches are dull to look at, so would want some daft color to make up for it.

How about a nice fast GoKart

They aint worth it, you can buy a 410 now for 65k, same car practically for 30k less and they are literally so similar or get a 350 for 45k and go all out Komotec upgrades but I don't think it is @kindai cup of tea as somewhat compromised as a road car.

Wild colour and 981 pretty much means PTS, which was quite rare on them I think less than 10% of cars. Birch Green is a good one, think there's some Riviera/Voodoo blue out there too. Also an Amethyst which is lovely.

Normal colours didn't get very wild, mine is Carmine which I think is the rarest non PTS colour and is very nice but not 'wild'. Racing Yellow is imo too flat, Signal is nice. Sapphire Blue is very nice for a stock colour when clean and tidy.

Definitely worth a try, I love mine but I do track it aswell which is a big part of it's charm. I wouldn't worry too much about Porsche warranty and so on with them now, I thought it was essential but if I was buying one now I wouldn't worry. The main thing is the bloody PADM mounts which are made of cheese and will fail every 6-12 months regardless, IMO they're a purposefully crap part to keep people in the OPC/Warranty/111 check loop. Replace them with fixed aftermarket mounts and code out the error. Also means you're then free to upgrade bushes/discs/exhaust etc. and make it even more of a weapon.

Any questions let me know :).

Am test driving an Emira tomorrow.

Be interesting what you think, I was somewhat disappointed and I'd not be touching one with all the issues, they will be under 50k in another year I reckon. No way I'd take an Emira over a GT4 personally and I really wanted to love the Emira.....

Saw this in town the other day and suspected it was one of Dan's stock. Looked great in red.

Liked the car, but thats about it.

I didnt fall in love with it and while everything was "alright", it really didnt seem worth the money theyre asking.

Round around the B roads it was, ok, but when getting onto some straights the power delivery was really disappointing!

It would be one of those, by the time theyve hit half value, its probably a good buy, but right now at 75k there are frankly MUCH better options out there.
