Dalglish resigned/sacked?

Oh god here we go again..............................why is one derogatory term used for Beitez considered Xenophobic yet calling SAF Old Whisky Nose not. The link being Whiskey - Scotland. Or are you saying that Liverpool fans use it as a term of endearment ?? I think if we're both being honest we know the answer to that question

Whiskey nose refers to his nose resembling that of an alcoholic. Are you trying to say that all Scots are alcoholics Loki? :p

Whisky can be linked to many counties, no?

The difference is you are calling him a fat SPANISH waiter, you know actually insulting him for his nationality or his nation. Like I said, you wouldn't get away with fat black waiter.

Playing Devil's advocate what if he was Fat and Black

Benitez is Spanish no ???

I'm sure we have been over this no ???? racism and xenophobia is about context and meaning

If he was, it wouldn't be chanted, or I'm sure it would be mentioned a bit more by the media and others.

Err well not all but the stats relating to Alcoholism and having two bank holidays around Hogmany would suggest you are maybe onto something ;)

No different than Liverpool fans referreing to Sir Alex Ferguson as Old Whisky Nose.

Anyway back on topic. Do Liverpool fans think Kenny will be moved into a more GM role like Beckenbauer at Bayern. I can't see Kenny accepting he has to resign and it would be a massive PR hash if the Americans sacked him

I personally think whilst he is and always will be a legend he needs to step away from the club entirely, New manager needs to come in and have control over transfers and build his team, If KD is in the back ground again i can just imagine it being uncomfertable for the new manager and issues could arrise

Kenny Dalglish - Official statement over 'sacking' rumours

So he hasn't been sacked :(

Next in line for most deserved sacking, Fm has taught me one thing, there is know achievement in winning the league cup by sticking out your first team every round.

sorry guys, didn't read whole thread.
Is kenny sacked/resigned? or is there no confirmation yet?

Apparently there is no truth in his sacking as it appear the rumours derive from his visit to meet the owners across the pond. However, it seems it's all wide open at the moment.

Like monkeys through the trees, my guess is they are looking for a replacement before they let go.

Trust me, he is getting the sack and AVB is lined up to replace him. not a bad move IMO.

depends if he's learnt anything from his time at chelsea, if he insists on trying to push the changes through to fast i think he'll come undone again.

if KD does go i think needs to remove himself from lfc all together and not hang around in the back ground like the grim reaper when hodgson was brought in.

I found that a bit strange that.. Ok being a supporter but the cameras always seemed to imply he was lurking in the background.

tbh i don't understand why he stayed on, if he truly had liverpools best interests at heart.

there was no way hodgson was going to get any decent backing/support with the person the fans wanted lurking around in the background.

He was the club ambassador at the time, he was expected to be around! The fans only turned to him because they did not want Hodgson. If another manager had been appointed at the time it is unlikely there would have been such a problem.

Guy next to me at work is a Liverpool fan, getting much abuse. He's convinced Capello's been lined up to take over.

Tbh, whilst KD did help RH, im guessing he also didnt tell him to sign players like Konchesky and play shocking football.

We havent had the results but the football has been much better! I hope he goes though, he is at risk of tainting his god like image on anfield if he stays.
