Dalglish resigned/sacked?

Terrible. He should have been manager of the year for his positive input to race relations and the little rays of sunshine he brought into our lives with every interview.

:D :D

So Villas Boas to replace him according to jonney... ;)

Sky Sports also saying he was sacked and didn't resign. Nice one.

And saying that Roberto Martinez is the favourite to replace him.

God knows who's taken the decision. Ayre wouldn't have the balls to sack Dalglish and the owners are in no position to take such a decision without someones advice. Unless there's something lined up that we're not aware of, this is a mistake.
only difference was Dalglish was in charge.

several league positions and a trophy. Other than that, no difference at all.

They literally are though.

Spent 100+ Million to win the League Cup, money well invested ;)

So hope Martinez doesnt replace him...please god no! Would rather have AVB or maybe we can persuade Pep Guardiola to join us. That would be a big two fingers up at Chelsea :D

They spent £100m+? Does the money brought back in not count?

And if you have no understanding of the game, how are you in a position to sack a manager and then pick his replacement?

As a non-Liverpool fan I don't understand the disappointment with this. Best bit of business you've done since you bought that rat bag Uruguayan.

Martinez not exactly a world beater but he is a million miles better than Dalglish.

<Insert Liverpool fans writing off more managers before a ball is kicked and clinging on to the hope that Dalglish was 'good'>

Martinez and Lambert should be able to do this and to a lesser extent maybe AVB...but Benitez!?
So you think Martinez and Lambert are going to attract the types of players we need, with no CL football and and a transfer kitty a fraction of what City, Utd and Chelsea have? Not a chance in hell.

I'm convinced if Benitez had similar support in the last couple of year as he did in the first three he would have added a title to his trophy hall.
AVB would probably do OK at Liverpool. Not so many gigantic ego's to keep under control.
Much better than Martinez or Lambert.

Are you suggesting they get one in on a trial basis and see how they get on?

They should wait until after the Euros and see who's available.

The 'owners' can sack a manager :)

How much money did winning the League cup get you?

Good decision, I hope that now Liverpool can set in motion changes to allow themselves to build back up to what they once were.

Can he get a ban for this mods if he is lying? On the basis of it being a troll/wum/whatever you want to call it?(Not saying he is, but if not true then you can make your own assumption :))

we should ban u for me making u look silly :)

his gone just as i said. now watch AVB replace him ;):D

Of course they can, but would it be wise of them to make a decision without any knowledge of the sport? I very much doubt they've taken this decision themselves, somebody is advicing them but who?

What happened last time somebody that didn't have a clue made a similar decision, we sacked Benitez and ended up with Hodgson.

The same problems are still going to exist though no matter who the manager is.

1. Bought **** this last year or so (Downing, Henderson, Adams, Carrol)
2. Still no new stadium, which is always going to restrict our transfer spend/ future plans

Are the owners going to financially back the new manager, or tell him this is your squad make do, or sell before you buy. But whos going to want to buy the likes of Downing or Adams?

Going to be another long season i feel :(

Henderson plays well in CM, maybe our next manager won't play him at RM (a massive mistake by Kenny during his time.). Adam looked alright beside Lucas, Downing is ****, Carroll looked good when he got a string of games, unlike when he was being dropped after scoring vs everton/wba.

haha what did i say

told you. i get the last laugh

If AVB is our manager, otherwise you didn't tell anyone or get any laugh.

People only look at net spend figures when it suits their arguement Baz, you should know that by now.

@Tummy, no one is going to say Kenny did well in the league, he won us a cup, got us to another final which was decent, but we have no director of football, CEO or manager or head of medical staff, FSG must have something monumental planned or its plain stupidity as it looks like we have no direction.
