what laissez-faire wrote made me LOL, but at work its never good LOLing... I always manage to read funny things at work! but that was class made me laugh.
Nice guys don't finish last, boring ones do. More so if they act like a pushover, hang around the girl constantly and pour out their emotions with added drama all the time.
Re-read this thread in 1 year, seriously. You'll be amazed at how you acted. We've all done it mind, just a lot of us didn't have a forum to do it on at the time.
I have a friend who has fancied a girl for 8 years. He's been her best friend all this time and wasn't interested in other girls. Finally he is getting some and might even be moving in with her. So a happy ending then...? Well, he lost his twenties in the mean time.
You have a very poor view of men, unless you think the same is also true of all women - in that case you have a poor view of humans, which I consider much more reasonable.
I see three interpretations:
i) You think women are superior to men.
ii) You think women are all inferior to men in some other, equally important way - equality by balanced bad things.
iii) You think there is no such thing as a woman who is nice, gentle and considerate either, and any woman who appears to be so is just trying to get something.
It makes me sick when men split up with their partners and become all self centred and start wallowing in pity. It's pathetic. Get a grip and snap the hell out of it!
I think it'd work for the OP and even if not, he'd have got his rocks off!!! Ugly girls are also goo - they try harder and more adventurous and you can always play 'Stars in their eyes' - "Tonight Matthew, this Minger is going to be.......the bird I've been all Emo and crying about!!!"

Good for you But advice will do you good, we've all been there man, we're on your side.
You'll never know the true meaning of happiness until you've felt the pain. Sounds like your starting to pick up on this. Your only starting out dude, you are going to experiance this several times in your life. It's part of the journey, and it always hurts just as bad. Through experiance you learn to pick yourself up quicker.
Believe me dude, you haven't met the love of your life yet. You will feel the happyness again. Might be hard to believe now, but it's the absolute truth. Pick yourself up quick
