Dark Souls 2 - Thread

Any idea how to get this to work with the dualshock 4? DS1 worked perfect but with DS2 the camera just spins round and round constantly lol. No way am I playing this with the keyboard and mouse.

I am pretty blown away with it right now, love just running around exploring. Some of the bloodstain deaths are so freaking funny some people are so dumb. Tales me back to DS1 when I had no idea what I was doing, this time round I know the controls though.

So far I am enjoying it, runs fantastic and looks alright as well.

Anyone using the dualshock 4 with this? Its unplayable for me as the camera constantly spins.
I tried the fix for dark souls one but it didn't do anything so the camera is still constantly spinning.

Well I have it maxed atm, i5 @ 4.6ghz, 8gb ram and a old 6950. Although upgrading the 6950 to a 780ti next month. 60fps all the time so far, my fps is capped at 60 though, only an hour into it so no idea on bigger areas yet.

Silly question perhaps but if I download the game here at work can I take it home and just copy the steam folder across to my gaming PC, and install it therefore not having to re download all the data?

Yea, you want (always want) http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper

It just imitates a 360 controller, and all games support that. I'm using my DS4 now, works a treat just like it did in dark souls 1

So the game crashes on startup when ran on my hdmi connected 55" plasma, but it works if I disable TV (win+P shortcut) and run it on my DVI connected 24" LCD.

Jesus, what a joke. Month delay and they cannot even make sure it RUNS. Thousands of people have this problem.

Who cares about your plasma?

They got it right this time: the game looks amazing (much better than it does on consoles), it works with keyb+mouse, FPS are stable above 60 easily and it is everything a Dark Souls sequel should be.

I've only explored it for 30 mins earlier today and I can't wait to jump into the world tonight.

Presumably Paul_cz cares, as do other people using HDMI ?

Paul, there was a "workaround" posted somewhere, where you load the game and then connect your hdmi.

- Select Dark Souls 2 in Steam.
1st Workaround
On AMD video cards, go to control centre. under Properties (Digital flat-panel) and enabling GPU scaling. Apply and start game

2nd Workaround
- Unplug your HDMI/DVI Cable
- Hit Enter (this will start the game)
- Plug it back in.
// Using this workaround the game is locked to windowed mode 720p
// Some people have reported not having sound using this workaround
Far from ideal, but I'd imagine it will be patched fairly soon.

Beggars belief that something like this was not tested.
