Check out the optional area before you face the last boss. It's worth it. Probably the toughest boss but some very important ashes to give to the shop lady at firelink shrine. It will allow you to buy twinkling titanite and titanite chunks.

Great boss, probably my favourite area too.

Had to use a guide on how to find Archdragon Peak, and to be honest, I kept using a guide because I just wanted to finish the game.

I know people say Nameless King is the hardest boss, but I had considerably more troule with the Lord of Cinder.

So that's DS2 and 3 complete now, think I need to get around to finishing off no.1.
 
Anyone had frame rate drops after playing for a while? I'm usually pinned at 60fps but after an hour some areas it will drop to high 40s, restarting and its back to 60.

I never had this problem on my old system with 4gb ram but new chip and 8gb ram and now this new problem...?
 
My god going back to Dark Souls is an eye opener....it feels so clunky compared to DS3...i dont know what im doing its been that long since i played it!

Oh and the above problem is still happening, i take it this is a problem with the latest patches?
 
Just seen news of the first dlc. If that's all it is, then that a crock of ****. I thought the season pass was a safe bet when I bought it:(.... I just hope there is more detail tomorrow which includes some sp stuff

Agreed, PVP is the one part of the game I have zero interest in, and a few new weapons and spells won't compensate for the disappointment. Definitely hoping for more. Failing that, at least a good chunk of SP content in the second DLC.

Looks like I'll have to wait for my next Dark Souls fix though. Oh well, back to Bloodborne I guess.
 
Im sure it will have a chuck of new pve content surely like all there past dlcs?

Not played since finishing near launch and the problem i find is its a hard game to come back to! That and that they start the dlc in a sill place bang in the middle of the game so usually means starting again or rolling on with ng+
 
1st DLC sounds amazing, I know they added something similar in the first but it wasn't very good. Been itching for a more direct and match-made PVP system for so long in souls, really hope this is exactly that. They couldn't of thought up a better DLC tbh.
 
Good to see I was wrong about there not being any SP content. New area looks interesting to say the least. Can't help but be reminded of Bloodborne's Forsaken Castle Cainhurst a little. Something like that would be excellent.
 
I decided to play some Dark Souls 3 to get ready for the DLC.

Didn't realise that my save game was saved in AppData...I recently re-installed my Windows.

RIP my 120+ SL Pyro AND Quality Knight! I hate this no Steam Cloud support ********

I was trying to find a save game file, as I have completed the game 4 times (NG+ on both chars). Sadly I can't find a decent one :(

I warned about this at least twice in this thread.
 
Do we know yet what vague point in the game the dlc portion starts? I have my first character sat at the end of the game after the last boss etc didnt start ng+

Or do we need to play as a new char and find it along the way? I imagine like bloodborne you can just go to it at any point

Made this mistake but found a few save games for blank characters with pretty high levels and total completion of game. Think it was on Nexus so a quick googley search will find it
