Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

It is perfectly optimized for PC gamers with gamepads.

.. and if you are interested in playing games like sleeping dogs/dark souls/gta/just cause 2/racing etc then you should have one. PC gamers should be identifying with the option to use whatever controls a game calls for, not marching into some imaginary war with a keyboard-shield and mouse-flail.

Just been doing some co-op in Anor Londo helping people with the boss and random invaders, the PvP seems just as laggy as ever which is a real shame as that was the reason I stopped playing on the Ps3. I'm half tempted to play the rest of the game in offline mode to save myself some frustration.

Its a shame, I really like the look of this gane but it sounds like a really sloppy port, not optimised for pc gamers at all :(

Grab yourself a pad and enjoy the game.

I have had people invade me and not one piece of lag on that. I did also join another game when I was summoned and no lag either so far.

dumbest thing I've read in this thread

Yeah +1, just stick him on ignore. If that is the best he can come up with, I for one don't need to read anything else from him

+2! He sounds like someone who doesn't like gaming and came in here just to troll! Will be sticking him on ignore too.
you know what, I actually wrote something that would probably have banned me here, but I think anybody reading knows youre all pathetic so i will just leave it, I hope you have a long and happy relationship with your screen

damn on the butterfly boss bit of a pain just getting there let alone the boss lol

That area before the butterfly with the 5 stone knights is such a good farming area once you have a decent starter weapon (like the Drake sword). They go down in about 6 hits before they can get an attack in and give you 600 souls :D

No lag for me either mate :(

I have been looking at a few dark souls forums, even though I had no lag I had some issues summoning people, even though I could be summoned just fine. Turns out you need to check the GFWL ports are open. If fixed the summoning part for me, even though I have never had any issues with any GFWL games, so I have never checked the ports in the past. It may fix the lag he is getting?

It might not fix your lag at all, but worth a shot as you should not get lag. I used the ports at the bottom of that page ^^^

I was a bit of a wimp, bridge above him with the snipers. I killed those, locked onto the boar from the bridge and chucked a shed load of fire bombs at it. Job done :p

Oh right, so I guess it's just a random drop rather than targeting a specific body part! All I do is just lure him into the bonfires until he dies :p

Anyone fought Sif the great wolf yet ?
She is kicking my behind. I can kite her with long bow, but it is long and tedious process. And Zweihander seems too slow.

Nope, had to restart and i'm only up to Capra Demon (who is kicking my behind because my armour is too heavy)

Sif is all about movement, all her attacks are avoidable if you know when and how to roll/move. It is a bitch of a fight though do don't feel bad about jacking it in and coming back later. The fight it's necessary until you want to kill the boss of New Londo Ruins.

One trick with Sif is to stay under her, most of her attacks will miss you until she her disengage move, at which point you roll towards her as she nearly always follows it with the spin attack.
