Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

lol good one, thought the days of being forced to repeat content were long gone, not a big fan of a game being artificially lengthened by killing me through no fault of my own (fire from the dragon coming out of nowhere) then forcing me to repeat the content. Stinks of the old snes days where games would just insta kill you until you learnt everything by heart, which is just memorising stuff, not true skill.

you know you can go under the bridge right ? :p

Trouble is noticing a dragon is approaching is quite easy and gives you enough time to get out of the way even if you didn't know about it before. Also the long bridge covered in fire burns and sutt is a bit of a giveaway you need to be cautious! :p

It is a prime example of "Hand Holding" where player wants a great big flashing red message saying Dragon Ahead. But to be fair most people actually write that on the floor anyway. Reading those messages people write has prepared me a few times, other times I have been prepared for nothing, those rascals :)

Staple copy + paste of someone not good enough to play this kind of game. ;)

There isn't a single unfair death in Dark Souls, people need to stop trying to make the game into a scapegoat for their failures. Stop sucking bruh.

I love that fact every battle is different, no matter how many times you repeat a section for some reason or whatever the fight never goes as you think it will. Sometimes I can run about like a true boss then other times my timing sucks and I get biatch slapped.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that, having been a long time *Souls gamer on the PS3. There are unfair deaths, and deaths that just happen. But thats part of the game. Why? Because DEMON/DARK SOULS. That's why.

I agree, there's been plenty of times playing both games where I have been caught in things lime stun locks with no hope of escape, even with a high level character. A good examplewould be the pin wheel skeletons in dark souls, if you get caught by a few theres sometimes no way you can escape without death or massive damage.

Some of the random deaths are pretty cheap as well, like the first fight with Seath where you can't kill him, the game is tough but it's not the perfect combat system or fair game that a lot of people make it out to be.

Not really understanding this, if you get caught by 2-3 pinwheel's that is your fault, you let that happen. Not trolling you or anything but you are blaming the game for getting you caught, well thats the whole point, the enemies want you dead. Would be silly if they stayed away or were easy. You have to look and see what is the best way of doing it. They owned me the first time then I learnt what they did and how they moved. Very very rare will one hit me know.

Yeah the game is like that, which I like. Oh look new enemy, you are probably going to die, but learn it's attack patterns, so next time you know what you're doing.

Saying that i'm still retarded enough to be hit by random hollows :P

the cod people are always stupid to be fair i played darksouls on the xbox before i got my pc and enjoyed it played it on pc and its not much better still played it start to finsh and enjoyed it +

lol everytrap in the game has a clue the lift in sens fortress has blood stains on it it takes you to spikes if you ride it all the way up the bridge is full of burns and is called DRAGONS BRIDGE

Stupid death to Gaping Dragon, even summoned Solaire. Then when corpserunning those frogs I dealt with so easily, even whilst being invaded, decided to gang up on my poor self! Lost about 25k or something, a lot for me :(

I've lost nearly 200,000 so far on one boss :)

The one thing that is getting to me is the attacks clipping through walls. I've been killed by the Titannite demon at the bottom of Sens kiling me with a sweep while i was half-way down the corridor. Or the lizards swords clipping through the stone pillars.

Haven't had much problems regarding clipping, though I did kind of abuse the wall by the door to kill Havel with Greater Soul Arrow, he would come out, attack, then slowly walk back letting me fire a couple of arrows at a time. :D
