Staple copy + paste of someone not good enough to play this kind of game. ;)

There isn't a single unfair death in Dark Souls, people need to stop trying to make the game into a scapegoat for their failures. Stop sucking bruh.

I don't need to inflate my epeen, it's just a game son. Being able to play doesn't make you a tough nut lol. To say there is not a single unfair death in the game is just fanboyism, makes me laugh how people get all butt hurt when someone on the Internet doesn't agree with them.

I'm not butthurt, I just find it peculiar when somebody sucks at something and then tries to blame whatever they suck at for them sucking. Then ontop of that trying to make out like what they suck at takes no skill in the first place because they can't do it. Applies to much more than video games, people with that attitude in life are losers.

Met Patches yet?

Unfair how? Same as the Helkite, its obvious what is going to happen, shifty looking rogue standing infront of bridge controls, need to cross bridge... HERP DERP *dead*. If you need a giant neon sign saying "this guy will drop the bridge when you cross it, find another way around!" then this game isn't for you.

LOL exactly, he got me though, I knew what he was going to do but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I didn't cry about the game sucking cause I trusted him, even though I had a gut feeling. I spoke to him after then I hacked the SOB down. Made me smile

He'd of probably got me too if I hadn't played Demon's Souls to death. :D

I've died as much as anyone but have never blamed the game except when the lock on system goes nuts and spins my camera around and veers me off a ledge. Other than that, you die, it's your fault.

This game's reputation has got to be hurting its sales as much as it helps them. I love a good RPG but I am actively staying away from this one because of the fearsome reputation. A challenge is good but an endless mass of grinding and frustration does not appeal in the slightest. I am not one of those people who plays every new game on the absolute hardest difficulty setting and since Dark Souls seems to have that mode by default, I am wary.

And no, the prospect of some fancy game mechanics telling me it was fair and I could have beaten it if only I was good enough while dancing on my corpse does not nullify that fear. I'm probably missing out (and I may crack next Steam sale) but right now it just feels like a chance to spend £20 on a game I will give up on after next to no time.

It's not as hard as people make it out to be, nor do you need to grind a lot. Mind you it is challenging but there is a lot of hyperbole surrounding the difficulty - you just need to be careful and think instead of running in and mashing one button to win. The only point at which you really need to grind is for weapon upgrades but it's not needed at too great a level to finish the game.

Yeah I have not done hardly any grinding. I did a bit to upgrade my weapon, but it is not stupid hard, yes the game is a challenge, yes if you don't pay attention you can die pretty quick. But overall if you watch what you are doing you will be fine, also the bonus with this game is co-op. If a boss is to hard then call in a couple of guys for some extra power. It is only hard because some people are used to games telling them what to do every 5 minutes.

I also doubt it would hurt sales, they still made Dark Souls after Demon Souls. So it must prove people like it.

I've not done any grinding at all and I'm storming through the game as a warrior with ease ( to some degree :p)

People just assume you have to grind through everything to beat this game, because thats what most 'hard' games require these days, grind from one checkpoint to the other getting lucky. Doesn't work like that with this, you need a brain and the ability to press more than one button, a requirement most people will fail.

Really, REALLY missing this... Played about 30 hours or so on the 360, then lost all my saves...

REALLY want to play it again lol, loved it! Sod it... GW2 isn't going anywhere.

This

You need patience and concentration, the minute you take an enemy for granted or try to get in another hit on a boss to try and finish the fight earlier is when you will be skewered.

All the dieing, pain and suffering goes away when you finally take that **** of a boss down that you have been working on for the past hour or whatever. Its feels so rewarding!

some people who invade can be a bit lame when they feel they are loosing the fight they go and pull creatures that seem to go straight for the person who is being invaded

Lol, you don't even need to grind a thing to complete this game. I guess for people good enough it would be easy enough to complete the game with whatever equipment is dropped in normal play.
