Dashcams!

how does the 3rd camera connect up to the main camera then ?

looked at an image of the internal one etc and i cant see how it connects ?
the only thing i can see which may work is the rear camera and the internal camera is on some sort of splitter cable ?

Whats the best value dashcam that doesn't cost and arm and leg? Wanting to get one soon and have been looking at Nextbase but wasn't sure if there was better on the market?

I've been looking for a front cam and was set to buy the Viofo A119 Mini. But Nextbase have some refurb units on their ebay page that swung it so I got the 522GW (after a further 10% off code for cyber monday):

522GW for £90

322GW for £70

They also had the 622GW for £135 (same proce as the 422GW refurb is now), but is out of stock

I saw that Linus Tech tips video recently. I guess we can conclude from it then that there's not much over analysis needed in terms of out and out video quality, and to pick one you like the design/features/price of. On that basis, this thread is still useful and I'll probably go back and read it to get some recommendations.

Any issues with the units at all?

The points Linus raised were 100% valid, the video quality on dashcams is pretty poor in general and is no better on high end units.

In terms of buying a new cam, then yeh shop by features you need.

Did it arrive and have you tested it? Tempted to buy the same 522 one

Had a look at it indoors thiseve, although not got as far as installing yet. Just a visial inspection, which looks perfect, and test formatting the memory card, making sure it hooks up to my phone, records and saves a clip - all good. All accessories received as with a brand new unit, just without the plastic peel off cover on the screen and lense to give away that it is a refurb. Firmware was up to date, screen perfect. Wouldn't know it was a refurb.

Only slight concern is the auction said 12 momth warranty but there is a refurb sticker on the box that says 6 months. I don't think it would be an issue claiming 12 months though, and for the steal of a price I'm not sending it back.

Do the prices always go up and down? Swear the 522GW was only £90 when you posted the link. Its now £127
