Dashcams!

Too late I've ordered it LOL.

Thank the Lord for Google Translate :)

They responded quickly informing me the delivery cost is 6euros.

Used paypal to pay - total came to a smidge over £31. - about 10 days it said for delivery so a couple of weeks wait (by then the sun will have gone into hibernation knowing my luck lol) - about a fiver cheaper than that ebay seller

Let me know what you think when it arrives. Was going to purchase mine from that shop so will be good to see what you think when it turns up.

No worries bud u had me feeling guilty for recommending it until i saw my own footage just now!! You think urs is bad u should see mine lol!

First time i used that pc viewer software, its a bit clunky but hey it works. So with my daytime footage on the front camera i get the same as you loads of reflection off the dash, but to make matters worse my front heated screens squiggly lines are just about visible too! :(

Back isnt a problem as i have tinted b pillar onwards. Just need to stop my son messing with it the little monkey!

Hopefullu the polariser lens will get shut of all that, ive got my base line vid ready to show ya'll :)

Btw new camera data on website, released 30th of september, ive just updated too.

I'm not able to drive at the moment but here's a screencap from my F770. I may have to look in to re-positioning it... I'm not sure (what you think?). Also got the reflection of my dash which is quite clear. Obviously the water on the windscreen probably doesn't help! /alsogotthefirmwaretoupdate

The only other day-time recording I have is of my house and me topless. :D

Who cares about reflections honestly. I think it was Techmoan that said it best ..

I don't get anywhere near as much reflection with my F750. I'm wondering if it's causing issues with the focus, hence the poorer quality pictures?

One thing I have noticed is the amount of dash that everyone is seeing in their footage. It would be interesting to see where everyone has mounted there cameras/whether they have moved the lens and gone through the camera setup.

I just ordered a filter for my DDPai M6

I get a bit of reflection on an overcast day as seen in the below video from the biggest incident I've recorded so far.

A Porsche almost hit me yesterday at a mini roundabout, I pulled out as he was approaching from my left at some speed, I stopped on the island and he was lucky Porsche provided him with good brakes as he also stopped half way onto the roundabout and put his hand up to apologise, I didn't look for the footage though.

I went through the setup process on my F770, I've aligned the horizontal line with the hood as it tells you to, I just haven't put the camera lens in the dead centre as it would be too far down the windscreen on my car so I've got it to the right of the plastic bit holder the mirror, so its behind the mirror

ill get pics tomorrow, but one thing to note, I have moved it several times to get it in the place I wanted it (highest position on my side) so might be why your seeing some shakiness ?

anyway, ill get pics and post them on here before I take it down and get put a new pad on the windscreen

I think that you have put it on the wrong side of the mirror, that its massive, and that it would annoy the hell out of me. But as long as it doesn't annoy you thats all that matters. :p

I'd put it on the passenger side of the mirror and a couple of inches further up the windscreen so that the sticky pad is covered by the sun guard, but low enough for the lens to be below the sun guard. The cable run would then be shorter as well, and you could make it straight too.
