Dat beard

Mines coming on nicely

Started bearding on and off since last July with a couple of drastic trims in between. Growing this variation since beginning of December.

Recently invested in some Percy Nobleman's beard oil. Made a world of difference.

I might have to make up some of Perywinkle's balm (that sounds far too wrong :p) as my current stuff is ok but doesn't really tame it, I should probably also get a boar hair brush too.

Mine's good though, I like it, but I find my 'tash is fairly long so likes to dip in food and drinks, not ideal...guess I could just trim that a little.

My partner and I like me to have a beard but for client meetings I tend to buckle and get rid.

Unfortunately I just can't get mine that great, it becomes insanely itchy after about a week and my general hair density is rubbish so I'd never be any good in special forces.

Since using a good brush and good wax mine is a lot nicer now.

Starting to get some good depth and coverage. Would highly recomend a good boar hair brush.

Been growing mine for like 8 weeks now, but I'm curious as the difference between beard oil and soap?

Soap is just used for cleanliness but don't many oils also do that?

Why aren't beard oils available on the high street yet? :o

If anyone else would like to put in and get some of this beard balm gear bulk, I'd be willing to cook up a load of it...save us all a few quid.

I think plain soap can remove some of the natural oils that the beard needs.

I'll put in but I guess it'll cost a lot for p&p?

I've been looking at the ones by Lush which are supposedly well reputed.. worth a punt?

Only just noticed this thread, and reading through from the start whoever said women aren't into a bloke with beards is full of ****. Get more action with a nice bit of 3 month growth than walking around like an 8 year old with the smoothest chin known to man.

Beards > all.

lol :D

Mate of mine makes all his, too. I'd like to give it a bash. I just ordered a boar brush and some wash as mine is dry and wirey at the moment.

Also ordered a cut throat razor to trim the edges.

Oil and balm will help with the itch, it also stops after about a week anyway.

Mines nearly 2 months, so will be time for some update pics if it this week. :D
