"Days of War is an online multiplayer shooter that aims to revive the style of classic WW2 shooters from the 2000-2010 era using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4."

The only thing I'd say by looking at the pre-alpha footage is that the player movement does look very fast. But graphically it looks very detailed and intense. And it's coming out several months before battalion 1944, which obviously everyone has gone crazy over.

I've pledged $19 which will get me steam early access. Reckon that's got to be worth it...

crazy how all these small people are doing games we actually want but people like activision , dice cant seem to get their heads round it. :p

dunno what this team have done making this game will watch do bit of searching.

Are the old DoD / DoD S team working on this?

As that map is 100% dod_thunder / dod_donner. And it looks awsome!

But yeah, looks like its been taken straight outta one engine and dumped in the other.

Backed this too after watching the Battalion QnA stream. That is more of a competitive game and this one is more casual. I'm unsure whether I should cancel Battalion but it's only £13 so I'll see how it comes along. However I do not like that they are lying in bed with ProWestie already and you all know how I feel about biased Ronku sponsored content creators. They will form a positive opinion depending on how much money you hold to influence and mis-inform users. 60 hours to decide. Tick-Tock :D

I thought so as well, watching the vid i was thinking where have i seen that map layout before.

yes there is no point wishing any to be better. it would be better for us all if they both great as then maybe the big boys from activision and Dice may take note and stop making **** games.

I have to be honest, it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence when the map on the trailer is essentially a carbon copy of dod_donner from Day of Defeat. Even the trailer seems to have borrowed heavily from DoD:

I'll still check it out but not the best first impression.

As good as these are, If Dice or Activision decide to do a WW2 shooter again it will pound both of these games into the ground. Even if these two are the better games.

it depends by what you mean pound ?

are we talking graphics big explosions ? aka Dice.

then i can live without bombs exploding at every god damn second for decent " skilled game play "

that is what many of us want a game with a learning curve. while it may not be as popular numbers wise as a DICE or Activision game it could be better.

battlefield has just become a watered down product played mainly by unskilled people.the recoil reduced noob weapons easier kills. crap reg.

basically why many hate those kind of games now and yearn for games like this and others being made.

its will be a struggle.no doubt but atleast it shows that people will put money in for the hope of a decent game with decent gameplay from a ww2 era.

you know that aint happening for dice or activision.they want that console money and a total different audience than mister bolt action guy.;)
