Days of War - new WW2 online shooter coming out this year

I think they must be surely..

I'm no lawyer, but how do you go about taking a map from a game that still costs money, and putting it in a replica game on a seperate engine? What are the ramifications of that?

I still play DoD S weekly, still playing with players from the UK and US that I have known since the early betas for what must be about 15/16 years now. It still has a pretty healthy and loyal fanbase.

I'm all for an updated version of it, only reason I want HL3 to come out really, but this seems like a fairly brutal ripoff.

As good as these are, If Dice or Activision decide to do a WW2 shooter again it will pound both of these games into the ground. Even if these two are the better games.

The next BF game is supposed to be in WW1. Battalion Alpha is in May 2017 and whilst I appreciate it takes time to build a game from the ground up, how many people are willing to wait around 2 years to play a beta or release version?

I think I can answer that :p don't name it the same and make it slightly different ;)

Looks like they're really listening to feedback and have promised to lower movement speed (especially the strafing speed) and increase recoil etc.

Also, the map editor looks good and very easy to use. It even has a first person mode a la minecraft!

As long as its Hardcore and as real as it can be I'd play it. Sick of these dulled down they almost play themselves ala SW Battlefront.

Hi there,
We're writing to let you know that Days of War (Canceled) has been canceled by the project creator. As a result, your $19.00 USD pledge has been automatically canceled and your card will not be charged.
If you'd like to follow along with the creator's next steps, stay tuned to their updates. You can even drop them an encouraging message or comment on their project page.
Thanks for supporting this project.

This all I got in the email
