Days of War - new WW2 online shooter coming out this year

hehe its basically cod2/cod 5 waw.

cant beat a good old ww2 fps though.weird move on the pulling of kickstarter which leaves me a little dubious of the quality you may get.

So if they didnt make the original price what makes you think they can make the game for half>??

It still had a lot of days left. How I see it they set there target to high and have now reduced the max price and also console development. 20k is much better target and 19$ is worth a punt.

I agree, 20k is a ridiculously low amount. Unless they have investor backing and doing the kick-starter for advertisement/ get the word out there, I wouldn't expect much game for that.

They wanted more monies and realised that starting a campaign during the same time as Battalion 1944 was a huge mistake as that stole the limelight. I will not reback this.

Dear Backers,
.
We're halfway to our goal, with half of the campaign left to go. In the past two weeks, we’ve been Greenlit, fleshed out our modding tools and gotten invaluable feedback from all of you. We are immensely grateful to all of you who pledged, shared our campaign, and even spammed journalists on twitter with us.

Lately the funding hasn't been coming in as quickly as we want, making it uncertain that we will hit our goal. After careful consideration we’ve decided to relaunch our Kickstarter Campaign effective immediately with a more focused goal and scope. This will ensure we hit our new funding goal quickly, so we can get back to finishing Days of War. We also have our stretch goals laid out in advance so you know what to expect should we exceed this goal.

Introducing the better, faster and cheaper Days of War Kickstarter Campaign:

Facts about the new campaign
The funding goal has been rescoped to $20k. The goal of the new campaign is to help us get to Steam Early Access on PC. This cash will go towards servers, completely redone sounds, and a new map based on the Carentan scene from Band of Brothers.
Due to the revised scope, console rewards have been removed. To all our console backers, we are not cancelling our plans to release on console, but with less funding it will delay our release timelines
The pricing of the reward tiers has been reduced drastically – see the page for details
The availability of specials perks and rewards has changed – see the page for details
Some stretch goals announced - see page for details
The new campaign will only be up for until the end of the month, ending April 1st.
The more funding we receive at this stage, the faster the game will be released and the more content we will have – so we hope you choose to back us again!
If not, we hope to see you in game soon! As a reminder, this has not changed our vision for Days of War in the slightest. It’s only altered our path to getting there and if anything given us greater focus.
Now it’s time for us to get back to work. We will still do our best to stay active in communicating with you all, but our key focus will continue to be delivering you a kickass WWII shooter this year.

It's dodgy as **** ,not as the same level as Savarium though but $20K to make a game lol Wait 20 years for this game to be developed if you back this.

Yeh will be waiting till it gets released before I pay any money for it. Seems a bit fishy they cancel and re-do their campaign when they realised they probably won't get the cash.

It looks like this is coming out in January.

I need some steam friends who like to play proper shoots li?e this, insurgency and squad (when I get it) so please add me (luckyj)

Forgot about this, hopefully it's good and that Battalion 1944 is good, I've missed WW2 shooters.

An early 17 release on either would suit me down to the ground.

This game has just had its early access release, £19.99

Unsure of size as purchased through phone at work (6gb apparently). I really really hope its the update DoD:S deserved!

They have announced 100 player battles though, storming Omaha Beach. Should be fun, or a massive sniper fest!
