Dayz Breaking Point (Arma 3 mod)

Would anyone care to explain the main differences between this and DayZ. Just put in around 10-15 hours on DayZ but there's no team play, you basically help someone or join up and then they stab you in the back. Like the surviving aspect but it can get a bit tedious.
 
Pretty similar on BP, if you're playing solo you're likely to get killed on sight a lot. The class system discourages groups from killing the same or similar groups (eg Rangers and Nomads). But even then you'll still get shot by someone you never knew about a lot of the time, lots of loot camping etc. It's remarkably frustrating yet I can't stop playing it :D

Yeah, it was fun, rampaging around Thirsk.

Whoever hid the vodnik and the two cars needs to learn to hide their stuff better.

After you called it a night, Danny and Voz also got lit up down by the osprey but I managed to make jam of him under the wheels.

Vodnik is gone but jeep is still where we left it.
 
If you're on later I should be around. Just went from fresh spawn to fully geared on Thirsk in about 15 minutes. Snook up on a hunter at the Osprey, he had an M24, silenced m16a4, laser range finder and survival pack. I had a shottie and some painkillers. Thank you very much good sir.

Oh and I got one shotted last night within seconds of meeting up with Magnum, is he sound and I was just unlucky?

Magnum or Mustang ;)

He's sound, a fairly lethal player, one of the best i've seen on BP. Apparently he's #3 on the overall kill rankings, think that's BS though as how can you check it?

He only likes groups of 3/4 though, anything bigger and he'll go solo, attracts too much attention.
 
The wife dropped a sprog on Monday so I'm out for the foreseeable future.

Messed up and caught a team mate in a humans vs zombie maul and now my nomad is like negative a billion points.

My ranger is down to -3k again.
 
Does anyone play this at the moment? Been playing a bit on EU9 recently.

I've been trying to map out where vehicle spawns are on New Haven too as it doesn't look like anyone has done it yet (or shared it), if anyone is wishing to share data let me know :)
 
I play every now and again but it's got pretty stale to be honest. Unless you're playing in a group there's a lack of stuff to do, seems to be slowly dying too.

I loved the looting and exploring but the actual combat is pretty weak, whoever camps the loot spawns gets the kills pretty much. Add the desync on top and the gun play largely sucks.

Played a bit of Stratis this week which is good for action, always good to run into a small group and take them on solo.

More recently I've found King of the Hill in ARMA 3 more entertaining.

Been playing more Stratis lately as well, it does help if you can get teamed up with even 1 other player, tips the scales largely in your favour.

Play either Nomad/Ranger or Outlaw, there are always random groups and they roleplay well, not too much friendly fire. Hunter is absolute noob class, no thought, just kill everything, a real COD class.

As for vehicles spawns on Newhaven, on EU9, go to Bass Island, head to Evac bass, then go directly West to the coast where there is some long grass, there will be a wrecked Vodnik sticking out of one patch of grass, 9 times out of 10, it's there when I go.

Failing that, go to the extreme South East, near the stronghold, there is a huge patch of long grass down there. Me and 2 friends went there a few weeks ago, found 2 choppers, 3 cars, a fuel truck, Hunter jeep, Vodnik and a Ural, all from 5 minutes of running randomly through the grass.
 
Hey guys,

I was thinking of picking up Arma 3 as it's in sale, but before I do where do I download the mods to play Braking Point and other types of games, I'm not having much luck looking though Steams workshop.
