***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

Apparently some servers are being restarted by a vote script bug, atleast going by the ticket list. They can also give themselves admin rights
 
Liking the game so far,

I've only played on the ocuk server for about 2 weeks now, haven't even experienced being killed yet, I started in elektro where i just collected general supplies then went up to balota found a m4 and then got caught hostage and dropped everything..

so i then went to cherno working my way up to the airfield on the far right collecting supplies as i went.. that airfield was dead and geared up fully and went back to balota killed many people and teamed up with a few and now im currently in cherno floating around :)

where does everyone normally hang around? havent seen a anyone in 2 days.

loving the game at the moment and cant wait for more :cool:

Think I just got the jump on a server hopper :)

Was in a prison building (location withheld) and closed all the doors behind me. Went into the upstairs room and sat facing the closed door whilst sorting out my backpack and putting more loot in.

Suddenly the door opens and there is a fully tooled up guy stood on the other side with a magnum aimed straight at me...

Luckily I had my moisin equipped and shot him 3 times point blank but he didn't go straight down... had to switch to my pistol and finish him off (he was wearing a tactical vest - not sure if that was why i needed so many shots).

He was absolutely full of loot - many gun attachments and must have had more than 5 m4 clips!!!

Dirty server hopper taught a lesson :)

I went back out of the building and all the doors were still closed so a) he/she closed the doors like me or b) they logged off in the building or more likely c) they server hopped hoping to find more loot

Oh and you want to know the best thing?

Bodies do not disappear anymore!!!! :) and you can hide them after you finish looting! good job BI.
 
Hmm I'm not sure how I feel about 1st person only. I hate how you can abuse 3rd person but 1st person doesnt seem as good for running around / looting etc. I dunno what it is :confused:

Just been playing on a first person myself. I feel safer from the 3rd person

exploits but it makes me feel the need to keep my head on swivel to keep

situational awareness, love it.

Anyone know when they plan on adding tents or someway of stockpiling your loot?
Can't wait to have a little campsite!:)
 
whoever i killed at barracks wow how long had you been collecting that gear :eek: magnums , 300 rounds of m4 food drink man morphine saved me a long looting session :D
 
DG did you just combat log? We shot at two guys and I saw you in the server player list, the two players dissapeared in combat and so did you!
